The Farmers Dinner The Farmers Dinner is a Traveling Farm to Table Dining Experience.

Restaurants seek out ingredients for their menus; we seek out farms to showcase their ingredients for a one-of-a-kind dinner in their field. Since each farm is different, in our over 9 years as a company, we have never repeated a single course. Each dinner is a snapshot of what that farm has available and we make the menu based on that availability. We believe that there are stories that lay benea

th the soil of these hardworking farmers and through the medium of food, we tell it as we present a multi-course dinner that inspires and delights our guests. Founded in 2012 by chef Keith Sarasin, Keith wanted to find a way to connect farmers, chefs, and customers who might not know about the bounties of local farms that exist right in their home state. Kulfi isn't ice cream like the West knows it, it's so much more.
Kulfi is a traditional Indian frozen dessert known for its rich, creamy texture and unique flavor. Unlike regular ice cream, kulfi is made by slowly simmering milk to reduce it, then sweetening it with sugar and flavoring it with ingredients like cardamom, saffron, pistachios, and almonds. The mixture is then poured into molds and frozen. This slow-cooking process gives kulfi its dense and luscious consistency. It's often enjoyed on a stick, similar to a popsicle, and is a popular treat during hot summer months. Kulfi comes in various flavors, including mango, rose, and malai (cream), each offering a distinct taste experience.

The Barn at Bradstreet Farm is the second oldest, continuously operating farm in America.The Four dinners are scheduled for Sundays, Aug. 20, Aug. 27, Sept. 24 and Oct. 29 and tickets are on sale right now! (www.thefarmersdinner.com)

Each dinner will feature multiple courses that showcase the best of Rowley area farms, including Chickadee Farm and Herrick Farm in Rowley as well as Tendercrop Farm in Newbury and Marini Farm in Ipswich. It is with great humility and gratitude that the Farmers Dinner Founder, Chef Keith shares the news of being awarded the 2023 Andrew L. Felker Award for outstanding contributions to New Hampshire agriculture. The Department of Agriculture has recognized Keith's 11-year effort in showcasing numerous farms across New Hampshire through The Farmers Dinner, the restaurants Keith has opened, and the pop-up dinners Keith has hosted.

Despite this recognition, Keith remains committed to learning and improving as a steward of New Hampshire's agricultural community. Keith acknowledges that there is always more to be done to support local agriculture and intends to continue their work towards that end.

Keith wishes to express his sincere appreciation to the Department of Agriculture for this honor. The award serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting local agriculture and will inspire Keith and our entire team to continue the work in this field.

Our chef team for this event will consist of Andrew Robinson of Shy Bird, Bj Beisler of Aatma & The Farmers Dinner, George K. Bezanson of Earth's Harvest Kitchen & Juicery, Brent Hazelbaker of Granite State Grocer & Seacoast Culinary Concepts and Robert Daniel Edwards-Gonzalez of The Farmers Dinner, Aatma and all around pastry wizard.

This dinner is your chance to experience the farm's bounty in a truly unique setting, surrounded by the very fields where the ingredients are grown.

One of the things we LOVE to use when we create dishes for The Farmers Dinner is, garlic.

Consider curing garlic over the winter! By allowing your garlic to dry out in a warm, dry place for a few weeks, you can intensify its flavor and extend its shelf life. Our Story

My name is Keith Sarasin and I am the founder of The Farmers Dinner and I want to share with you my passion. As a chef I realized the importance of fresh food, but the reality was most of our food took a 1,500 mile trip before it even reached our plates. I wanted to change that in my own life so I set out to meet with local farmers and chefs to ask why. After a long journey, I arrived at an answer… Awareness Many farmers aren’t aware of the chefs who want their products. Many chef’s aren’t aware of the farms that sit just miles from where they are located. And many people aren’t aware of the amazing stories that lie in the soils of the hardworking farmers who till their fields. That’s when it occurred to me, why not bring people, farmers and chefs together to educate, inspire and enjoy really good food. See, The Farmers Dinner does just that. You meet Local Farmers and Local Chefs in beautiful settings while enjoying fresh from the farm food. We want to invite you to experience The Farmers Dinner first hand and then you will know why there really is … a story in every bite.
