Storms may be consistent in life but God guarantees a storm-proof life in Him. Nowadays, trials and tribulations are always present causing the feeling of fear, frustration and anguish to be extremely rampant. This verse is a gentle reminder for us that those things will never consume us because Jesus had already won the greatest battle for us in His death and resurrection. In uncertainty, His love for us remains certain. We can count on His promise to take care of us and never leave nor forsake us. He knows what happened, what’s happening and what’s going to happen. All He needs from us is to have that faith and daily decision to view life in a lens He wants us to have because it will surely empower us to walk amidst the storm.

To Somebody Out There,

Hi! I hope all is well. ☺️ People might say life isn’t always a bed of roses. And with that, how are you in your down times? Does it get hard to stay hopeful? I completely understand that it’s very challenging especially when it seems like you’re all surrounded by dark clouds but let me share with you this message found Psalm 27:13. It is a hopeful ending phrase after the writer’s list of everything bad in his life. Maybe it’s his “Even If” faith that made him do that. Everyday we have a choice of whether we’ll let ourselves to continue down the spiral we’re in or pull ourselves up. The writer clearly did the choice of staying in his faith in God, the sure and unshakable foundation. You can definitely do that too. You can be transparent to God in every area of your life even those trials and tribulations. Alongside, You can turn you’re what ifs to EVEN IF this unlikable thing is happening now, you can still make a choice to put your trust and confidence in Him and give praise anyway because you’ll get to see His goodness in this present life.

But what if you really can’t see it? Well, there’s another thing I’d love to share with you. The verse above in another version says “I believe that I SHALL look upon the goodness of the Lord”. It might be that more than just passively waiting for the goodness to happen and for you to see, it’s more of actively searching and realizing the goodness and blessings of God in your life because it might be just there the whole time and you just have to look.

It’s a hard thing to be grateful when you see the whole list of what’s going wrong in your life but sometimes in order for you to see God’s goodness, you need to force yourself out of your own perspective and try to see it in His perspective. Sometimes, miracles in life are clearly seen but sometimes you have to look for it. Miracles may differ from each other but it still has equivalent value. It’s just a matter of pivoting perspective for you to be able to see those goodness and I believe you can do it. ❤️☺️
