This is our washer on spike.
You hand out the spike and washer for examination. Now show the box completely empty. The two doors are replaced. The spike is placed thru the box. The inspected washer in slowly lowered into the box. A quick magic pass and the front panel is removed and shown both sides and to the amazement of the audience the washer is now on the spike.
Here is the kicker.... hand the entire prop out for inspection including the front panel.
