Our Story

Wesley R Butcher also known as DJ 5 Star from Pooler’s Land, in the parish of St. Philip Barbados. Born on May 16th 1971 with the love for music he became a Dee Jay very early in his life. At the age of 18 he started playing for private functions where he was encouraged by friends like Mr. Elton Burke former drummer of The Super 8’s Band and Mr. Evan Gooding Operations Manager of The Marriot Sam Lords Castle Resort to pursue his love for music.

He subsequently went on to the hotel circuit where he became the resident Dee Jay at The Marriot Sam Lord’s Castle Resort, playing music for their Shipwreck Beach Party, Bajan Fiesta, Happy Hour, Weddings, Old Years Night parties as well as nightly entertainment in the Main Brace Lounge until the closure of the hotel in 2003.

For four (4) years he was also the resident Dee Jay at Casuarina Beach Club Hotel. Playing music for their Beach Parties, Back in Time Parties, Karaoke Shows and Weddings etc. He provided Dee Jay and Karaoke Services at Crystal Cove Hotel, Turtle Beach Resort, Sandy Bay Beach Club and Amaryllis Beach Club.
