Here, athletes between 15 and 25 years from Sweden, Finland, Russia and Norway meet to compete in 16 different sports, including three parasports. When Barents Winter Games take place in Kajaani athletes between 15 and 25 years will compete in 16 different sports. 3 sports will also involve parasport athletes. The participants represent local clubs in the Barents region, but in Barents Games they

represent their countries; Sweden, Norway, Finland or Russia. With over 1000 participants BWG 2020 will be a huge sport event in Kajaani and a platform for friendship and understanding among young people from the four countries. Barents Games is an arena for both sporting and cultural exchange and makes people-to-people cooperation between the four countries possible. Our motto is "Sharing the Arctic Spirit." ORGANIZER:
