Yesterday was likely the last Mother's Day I will have with all of my kids for a very very long time....it's definitely bittersweet. Watching your kids grow up and do great things is absolutely what you want to happen. But it also tears at those heartstrings. Motherhood is the greatest gift this life brings. It's the greatest honor, privilege, and blessing. The things that are the hardest, bring the most joy. I remember a friend once saying that motherhood is the closest we can come to being like our Savior. We clothe the naked, feed the hungry, and administer to the sick and afflicted. We nurture, we love, we succor. We have pain, heartache, and disappointment, we unconditionally love. We learn patience and long-suffering. I am not where I want to be in my Savior's eyes. However, being a mother has helped me become closer to Him as I strive to be more like Him.

Well folks, this family right here, they are special. I've had the honor to meet Jaime through photography (she's an event planner) and it was one of the greatest meetings I could have hoped for. We've done several events together. Since then we've become friends and I only wish we both weren't so freaking busy, because otherwise we'd hang out all the time. Her family is just the cutest and I'm so grateful I got to photograph them. Seriously, their ages are the best!

There's a first for everything. My schedule is so full that I honestly can't fit in all the people who want fall photos. Being a soccer mom is one of my favorite things. It was particularly awesome when a professional soccer player shows up at your sons practice. Thank you Axel Sjöberg for being an awesome soccer player and an excellent human. Really, you are such an incredibly nice guy. I'm pretty sure you may have replaced Leo Messi and Eden Hazard as our new favorite soccer player. And a big THANK YOU to Audi Denver for making it happen.
