We are a Competition BBQ team with award winning sauces and BBQ. Our sauce is not here to be just another bottle at the table, we will be the last bottle you ever reach for. Every detail that we comb over for a competition, we do the exact same for our BBQ when we cater. We would never serve any meat that we would not feel great about giving to a judge. We layer every flavor to ensure you get the best product that we can make! This is a Veteran Owned Business.

Well another great Smoke on The Mountain Galax, VA. contest in the books! While I still haven't figured out how to cook KCBS here in VA, we had success in MBN with our pork shoulder with a preliminary score of 599.4! We had some great pork today, but we were edged out by 2 other great teams in the Finals, finishing 3rd for the second year in a row! I want to thank Kari and Lil man for continued support and helping me in this crazy hobby, my right hand man Don and Brit for making the trip every year and helping get what is needed done, and Carl for bringing up the hog cooker so I could try my first whole hog which we finished 11th! Another fiddle added to the collection and I look forward to coming back next year and chasing some more! Congratulations to all those who heard their name called today!

We are off and running here at Smoke on The Mountain Galax, VA. for the KCBS and MBN Dual! Thankful to have Don and Carl here to give me a hand with all 7 categories. Hog is on and going, with everything else prepped and ready to go! Some great teams here so wish us luck!

A little smoked bologna burnt ends today for the Indy 500! Changed it up and used Heath Riles BBQ sweet sauce. A must for appetizers any time of year!

Well we managed a 6th place pulled pork, with less than 1 point separating 4th-6th. We can always count on our sauce to get us a walk as Sweetly Wicked finished 4th place. It was fun knocking the rust off and we're ready to get our season underway!

Always great when you're able to whip up some pork belly burnt ends, at the same time supporting 2 friends Heath Riles BBQ and Dirty South BBQ Company, Mama's Rubs! Tossed in our sauce. Yes, they came out great!

Great thing about being 25 mins from home is, welp were home! Trailer unloaded and we're settled in from the Railyard BBQ & Music Festival. A 6 minute round-trip walk for turn-in meant of course I was going to fall behind, and it happened early on my ribs. I spent the rest of the time scurrying to get Pork and Brisket in on time. When the dust settled, it was well worth it! We finished 10th in chicken, 3rd in ribs, 4th in pork, and 6th in brisket, finishing 4th overall!! Little man had a blast running up and getting the trophies. Congratulations to Smoke Me Silly BBQ Team Robert and Lex on GC as well to all those who heard their name called today!

Well I got a call to help a good friend out and come cook for him, and of all places, Murphysboro! We had a great time, got 1st place wings, and 3rd place Whole Hog! It was great seeing everyone and catching up, as well as getting to hold one of those famous awesome apples!

I always get asked what do I do with left over meat from a bbq competition. Of course I give the usual brisket breakfast tacos are a must, stuffed pork potatoes are great, but by far one of my favorite meals is brisket and rib meat chopped up and cooked in homemade Brunswick Stew!

Well as far as pork goes, we squeezed out an 8th place shoulder at the Water Valley Watermelon Carnival Train Tracks Pork Attack. We did however throw Slayton's Signature into the sauce category and came away with 1st place and a perfect score!! Little man loved getting the trophy! Congrats to all who heard their name called!
