We’re moving to…

Montana!

It literally breaks my heart that so many of you voted that we were staying in Iowa 😢

My husband Garrett got the opportunity to work in person for his job in Columbia Falls, MT. We are moving to Kalispell, MT. It’s RIGHT outside of Glacier National Park.

There isn’t a lot of story behind this move. We’ve been craving a new environment for years and it just never lined up.

And then BOOM in a month and a half we cleaned our whole house out, painted, replaced, and repaired, drove all of our belongings to MT, fit them in three tiny storage sheds, got our offer accepted on a home, and are well into the process of selling our IA house.

Oh and had the busiest month my business has ever seen!

Let me tell you I’m tired, stressed, and so overjoyed with our decision.

Thank you to everyone single one of you. I don’t care if I shot with you every few months or you are just here to share a like, thank you.

This isn’t the end of IA RAP! My fantastic teammate Kaleigh will continue to shoot weddings in IA and I’ll be back for weddings in 2025 and will offer sessions then. But this fall will be the last from me for awhile.

Rachel, what’s the plan for you in MT?

And that feels kinda nice.

I’ve always loved the elopement mountain vibes so maybe I’ll start there.

Sometimes the simple ceremony is the best choice. Jordan and David exchanged vows under the trees with their girls and their best friends.

It was small. It was intentional. It was beautiful.

Afterwards, we popped the champagne and laughed together in the shade.

The Hicksons planned, replanned, and unplanned their day. But in the end they chose a way to make it meaningful for them and it turned out more beautiful than we could have imagined.

Cheers to years of set plans and changed plans but may your plans always end with each other ❤️
