First time making a two part mold. This time with a FDM master.

I did a few tests with the resin printed mold. Every time, it did get a little better as I got more familiar with the expanding foam, but I think a silicone mold is going to perform better. So I printed out a master and the next step is to make a mold. This still won't be the final. There are a few things I need to change to the model, but right now, I'm learning.

A LARP spear I just finished! It's about 56" long, and I did a dual colored leather wrap for the handle.

I'm finally getting the time to test out something I've been really wanting to do. Mold making for expanding foam. Fingers crossed that this first test works out!

I'm hoping to share some progress pictures of some projects I'll be working on. I'll be experimenting with foam casting soon. It's been something I've really wanted to get into doing but I've had to keep pushing it back.

Here is an overdue 2024 roundup.

2024, I started with a lot of foamsmithing, took a break from commission, focused on my Etsy store, and did more leather work near the end. Started strong and ended on a sad note for my family. That's part of why I haven't posted as much on the latter part of the year. But all you can really do is move forward.

I felt like I needed to wear something on my head, so I had a Helldiver helmet. (Part of a personal Cosplay I've been working on)

I'm moving around and messing with my social accounts. I know I haven't posted much but the state of social media accounts have kind of killed my drive to share much. I've made a Blue Sky account and I'm hoping to find other artist, creators, and just a creative community. Meta being what it is right now and the uncertainty of Tiktok, this is probably the best place to stay updated on what I'm doing. I'll slowly be reposting what I have/can and hopefully share some new things.

I've been really pushing for that more realistic look and proportions. I'm getting closer, but there are a few things I can get better at to get a cleaner look.

I was asked by a friend of mine if I would be willing to make a sword for him. I had the time and was willing sense he let me come up with anything. The only thing is it had to look like living wood and have a gem on it. Easy! I always wanted to try out a rapier look. I know it's not exactly a rapier as I can only have the blade be so thin but I think it worked out great for the crossguard.

I really wanted to try another way to do a wood grain effect so I threw together a shield back in August. Really love how it turned out and I'm super happy with the effect. 100% I'll be doing it again in the future.

Awhile ago I made this trident but I couldn't show it off when I finished. Unfortunately I completely forgot to post the images once I was able to. This was my first trident so I had to figure out a way to make it durable and safe. Technically it's a spear that looks like a trident. The head is all one piece with leather reinforcing the arms.

Hi everyone! Sorry I took a huge break from social media after my vacation. Currently I have set memberships to just $1 as I haven't had the mental energy to spend so much of my time managing my social media accounts. I was feeling bad about people paying for the membership and not getting that much out of it. I still appreciate all the support. At this moment I am taking a break from commissions and working on making stock. Also, recently my Etsy store has really picked up, which has taken more of my time. I plan this week to get the knife tutorial going. I think for now I'll have everything set to 1$ and even those who make a one time donation will get access to everything. I'm a one person team and I ended up giving myself too many things to manage at once. I do have images of things I have worked on in the past few months that I'll be scheduling posts for.

Before I'm out of the country for two weeks, I've been working on something completely different. I was asked to transform some completely normal plastic water barrels into something you might see in a fantasy tavern. I designed it so the decorations are completely removable for easy clean-up. This was a fun project to figure out, but now I have to make a second one!

Just finished this sword! I adore this design, really love the griffins on it. The gem stones and the runes glow in the dark as well.
