Good, Good Sunday Afternoon to all of you, my fellow Friends & Fans of YoungBlood:

5980: Only 20 More Followers until we hit the magical 6,000 followers.

I wish I knew how to tell you how to check your status of whether you are a registered "Follower" of this page.

There are literally hundreds of regular listeners who have been "Invited" to connect but have not connected.

When Brother Sturgis or I look at the comments, it tells us which one of you are "Friends", "Invited but have not registered", and those who have never been "Invited" to join our page.

Whenever I see those who have not been "Invited", I immediately send an invitation.

However, without calling names, many regulars have been "Invited" but have not yet clicked to Join the page.

Check on your end and if just a very small percentage of those who have been "Invited" but not yet signed up would do so, we would not only hit 6,000 Followers, we would be close to 7,000 Followers without a doubt.

UNITED WE STAND......

Good Friday Afternoon, my fellow Friends & Fans of YoungBlood!

Thank you for your prayers and well wishes for Blood and his family this week.

At 71 years of age, I have attended a lot of "Celebration Of Life Services" where there was no celebration at all, only tears and sadness.

Today was not one of those days because on this day, December 15th, 2023, Mr. Reginald W. Sharpe Sr. was given a glorious send-off to our Father's House.

Today, the service was filled with family, friends, and well-wishers from Atlanta, Chicago, and even California. There must have been 30 or more ministers of the Gospel in the audience to support the ministers in the pulpit and the surrounding family and friends.

I never had the privilege of meeting Mr. Sharpe but I admire him greatly for many reasons. Probably the most important reason for my admiration is the deep love I watched and experienced between his two sons and many others in his family. Being a brother and the father of two sons, I wish I had done a better job on both fronts.
Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Mr. Sharpe nailed it as a father.

No one left the service without feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit in a powerful way. Tears of joy for Mr. Sharpe being absent from his earthly body and now present with Christ Jesus as well as tears of pain from all of those who will miss him dearly until their reunion with Mr. Sharpe one day in the future in the Father's House.

Personally, Brother Sturgis and I would like to say Thank You to those of you who attended the Celebration and then came by to say hello after the service.

Blood will get some rest this afternoon and be with us bright and early tomorrow morning, Join me in praying for his strength, health, and his sorrow.

Invite your family and friends to join us tomorrow morning at 7:00am for what I believe will be an EPIC broadcast.

IF YOU ENJOYED YESTERDAY'S SHOW... no question about working thru pain he showed it yesterday! I asked Blood Friday if he was just going to let his music play Saturday and his answer was NO! He 's playing! Music can take you and your mind places when nothing else can touch your soul during painful times. Often times i have said to friends, "i feel your pain" or "i can't feel your pain, but i can feel pain for you" MANY TIMES WE CAN'T FEEL THEIR PAIN!

We intentionally waited until after today's show was over before making this announcement. With deep regret, we now share that our friend, Youngblood lost his baby brother, Mr. Reginald W. Sharpe, Sr. earlier this week.

Blood gave us his all this morning, in spite of his great loss.

When he talked about folks "Standing In The Need" during the closing gospel songs, he did not say it but Blood and his family are part of that group in the need of prayer.

This is exactly how each of us can help by praying for Blood and his family as they mourn the life of Mr. Sharpe and especially late next week when the family gathers to celebrate Mr. Shape's life.

Christmas 1970, I graduated from Hardaway High School in June and just finished basic training and advanced infantry training in U.S. Army Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. I got back to Columbus, Georgia where I grew up on December 15th, 1970. I was so glad to be home with my family and it was a very special Christmas.
