Part 1 of “Things I never posted -but created- in 2024” ✨

There’s something so final about sharing a project. It’s no longer this little piece of magic between just me and them - their hearts spilled out for me to capture, and mine given to them in all its vulnerability in creating together.

Some people see photography as simply a job. For me, it could never be *just* a job.

Anything that pulls me away from time with my family has to mean something. Has to fulfill that part in me that desires to pour myself into creating truly meaningful art, to connect, and capture moments that matter. Because I know how important all those moments truly are.

Each session is an exchange of trust, love, and connection. I put my heart and soul into capturing these moments, not just for the beauty of the images but because of the genuine bonds I build with each couple or family I work with. I want every client to feel seen, celebrated, and like what we’ve created together reflects them and their journey and this time in their life making them feel deeply connected to the moments I capture for them. A reflection of not just their live, but the care and heart I pour into every image. 💕

So, while I might not be the greatest at getting my work out on social media as much as I should, it’s because part of me feels like I’m closing a chapter - a bittersweet goodbye to that fleeting magic that I hold so dear. 🥹✨

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me to document their love, their joy, and their lives in 2024.

A few faves from the pop up mini sessions I hosted this year ✨🎅🏼🎄

I got away from regularly hosting mini session. They’re tons of work and if you know me, my fave thing to do is to really spend time with you capturing you and your loved ones, and mini session are just so fast and furious. 😅

But I know that hosting these means I can serve more of you more often than just once a year or during big life milestones, and ultimately I want to be MORE available to you as often as you want because capturing these little moments is what life is made up of. Tons is beautiful little moments.

In 2025 I will host minis two times, and not just as last minute pop ups as these were. I’ll do one Spring session and then again in the fall/before Christmas that will likely be holiday themed or have the option to do holiday or not. ✨

If you’re already one of my couples or families and we’ve worked together you’ll get first dibs on an early release via email when I announce them. Then the remaining spaces will be open to anyone.

I have some super fun spring ideas that I can’t wait to make come to life! 😍🌷🍃

Part 2 of Chad and Jessica’s Iceland Adventure —

We started the day at sunrise on one of Iceland’s most iconic black sand beaches. It would only be the first stop of the morning but finally being in this place we’ve all always separately dreamed about and then got to plan for and dream about together, making the most amazing memories for months, felt unreal!

It was exactly what we dreamed about and hoped for and more! The black sand, the basalt pillars, the sheep grazing on the green mountainside. It was Iceland perfection and we had only just begun! 🥹

I cannot wait to go back in July. 🥹🥹

One of my best pieces of advice for any couple planning their wedding…

Dream big, and focus on the small. 💕

Your wedding day should be everything you’ve ever dreamed it to be. Whether that’s a big traditional wedding with hundreds of guests, or just the two of you on the beach together and anything in between and outside of that. Dream your biggest dream for your day.

But the things that will matter the most in any scenario, the things you’ll really hold onto are the small moments. The moments that might go unnoticed. The moments where you really connect and are just focused on each other. The moments where everything else in the world melts away and all you see is your love. These are truly the most important moments.

At the end of the day, no matter how you do it, you’re gonna be married. Don’t let what really matters get lost in the process. The day is about your love. So make all the plans, then just be in the moment. Let what will be, be. And soak in every little special moment.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words... I truly believe that images created with your partner are the most unique and intimate form of love letter you can “write” to one another. I love creating images with you that put your love story into something visual. And even more than just a snapshot to post on social media, capturing the art in your love is a goal of mine at every session. Yes, we want to capture those classic images, but it’s important to me to really tell your love story and invoke the FEELINGS you feel towards each and to create visual art out of it. Sometimes words just aren’t enough. Imagine fully expressing what you feel in your heart to your love...an image can do that so much better when sometimes the words for what we feel don’t even exist.

I’m watching Elf today and having a Friendsgiving with some people I love. It’s time ya’ll!
