The challenges of 2024 began early. Denys was diagnosed with a serious health condition, forcing us to cancel tours. It was a difficult and emotional time for us, filled with uncertainty and fear, but we faced it with strength, refusing to let it define our path.
The obstacles didn’t stop there. Beyond being the driving force of Woo York, Denys is also a passionate software engineer. Earlier this year, his entire team was cut - a devastating blow, especially after leaving his home and building a new life in Portugal when the war began. For the first time, we felt the pressure of relying solely on music to sustain our family, bringing new levels of responsibility and stress.
We also faced changes within our music family. , our longtime booking agent, was so much more than that - she was a close friend, advisor, and unwavering supporter. She had been by our side through thick and thin, even helping our family during the most difficult moments when the war began. Her decision to step away from booking duties due to new business assignments was a heartbreaking loss for us.
But through all of this, we pushed forward. With the help of friends and an unshakable drive to keep going, we found a way to get back on our feet professionally. In music, we turned challenges into opportunities: we launched , our new label, and started releasing music that nearly doubled our audience on Spotify. We’ve laid the groundwork for a new event series that you will see in 2025 and poured our hearts into fresh concepts for the future.
2024 tested us in ways we could never have imagined, but it also taught us resilience and showed us the power of community, creativity, and hope.
To everyone who stood by us this year: thank you!
