ZILLA COUPLE FEATURE!.Ever wonder what wedding vendors talk about as we scarf down our food during the reception?!
Ha! You've probably never wondered. BUT, I'm gonna tell ya anyway.
One frequent conversation starter...“Gosh, if I were to do my wedding over again, I would do so many things differently now”. Yep, it’s the same thing for me. I LOVED our wedding, just.to.be.clear.
But design and craft is like a muscle you work on over time, and - well, it’s been a bit since I got married. And the muscle is a heck of a lot stronger. So, to feed that part of my soul, I was immensely stoked when I met Kaitlin and Brad. They are just cool. Done.
I am SO beyond excited they chose me to help bring their vision to life.
Thoughtful, intentional - thinking through all the things so that THEY create an experience that is SO THEM. Kaitlin and Brad are the type of couple I love to work with. They value vendors, their craft and what they bring to the table.
With that attitude, vendors WANT to show up for you. Because they are creative people - feed their soul and watch amazing things happen.

It’s getting overwhelming huh?! I get it. No, like I actually get it boo. And I don’t want your anxiety to get swept underneath the rug or assumed that you are just ‘having a day’.
This wedding planning s**t is HARD. And yet, is disguised as an easy checklist and a Pinterest board.
Weddings MEAN something to us because we value what they represent. They mean an identity shift for you and are partner - starting a new family unit. They mean you are no longer just you. They mean money you have worked hard to obtain is going to be spent on ‘just one day!” They mean family dynamics, a wedding party, guest experience, vendor communication and logistics, food, venue, capturing moments AND - I’ll stop there.
It’s OKAY if you don’t know what to do next. It’s okay that you don't know if you should do rounds or banquet tables.
Aka, hire the planner. Seriously, as your friend. Hire the planner. Not your cousin, not your mom, A WEDDING PLANNER. And, seriously - it doesn’t need to be me, I’m not a good fit for everyone.
There are a lot of amazing talent out there! Just to name a few….

Don’t take yourself too seriously..Weddings should be fun! And I’m so sorry ( ), but even as your wedding planner, I’m also going to partake in the fun.
I will give your mom a hug, do a little shimmy cause I’m feel’n the playlist, sneak a shot to the MOH who needs to take the edge off right before her speech, encourage your lil brother to start breakdancing.
Yes, you are dressed up, yes there are moments for reverence - but then, there is the party. The laughs, the inside jokes, the hair flips and then - taking off your shoes cause you just.don’t.care.anymore!

I don't want an 'expensive' wedding, my brother is having this super bougie wedding in Austria and it's just so over the top.
I had coaching call yesterday and my clients were talking about how they are worried about coming across as pretentious.
Guess what!? The fact that this is a concern for you, means that it won't happen. Because your intention behind the money you are spending is to tell your story, to bring your family and friends together, to celebrate.
The SAME $100k (or whatever "expensive" means to you) wedding can look and feel VERY different depending on your INTENTION behind your WHY.

Wow! It's been a minute since I've posted on here. Know that I've been here in spirit and Stories, just needed some time to think....
With a nice month of thinking - I want to say 'thank you'! I've been especially grateful lately that I have created this "job" where I can make my own schedule, love on my clients the way I'd like to be treated and be present as a mom and partner.
That wouldn't be a thing without YOU. So, Thank You for following, the kind words, the lovin', the referrals. They have gotten me through a long first 3 years of business (hello pandemic) to the point where now - the calendar is full, I LOVE every single couple I'm working with and I'm jazzed about this season.
