Barbwire & Roses Handmade leather items and costume accessories for larp, cosplay, film, theatre and roleplaying games.

Barbwire & Roses is a small company that creates handmade leather items. It is operated mostly as a ready-made items shop, with ready to ship stock. The webshop can be found at: barbwireandroses.etsy.com

Bespoke items are also an option, but slots are severly limited for completely custom items. Variations on existing designs are also possible and are generally easier to fit into the work schedu

le. All items are designed and created within the workshop in Apeldoorn, only for very large orders, an extra pair of hands may be employed, but under close scrutiny, to ensure quality levels. All leather is hand-picked and purchased in smaller quanitites, to ensure a good variation of colour and make certain our items are either unique, or produced in very small quantities, so you won’t find too many people walking around with your item. Besides leatherwork, there is a small of range props, also available through the webhop. Larp safe latex weapons are also offered, as a reseller of several British brands, at select events (see album here in FB for current stock).

One more Conquest of Mythodea reel?
Ok... one more.
I am back from the Summoning now and that concludes my larp summer events. Conquest meant about 90 working hours, then 2 days in between (working on a custom order to pre-empt the PPWR rules) and then set up on Wednesday with several more 12 hour workdays.
Just need a moment to replenish, but can we then go again, please?
Thank you everyone for 2 great events AND for such an awesome response to the give away. All winners have been contacted and the number 1 and 2 draws ship out tomorrow!

Oh yeah, speaking of the PPWR stuff, I managed to sort (and pay) for shipping to Germany in between events too!

I should take the day off tomorrow....

The Vortex becomes a magical place at night, with lights and magic portals springing up.
It is a smaller fest style larp in The Netherlands without 400 to 500 participants, set in a medieval fantasy setting, organised by Vortex Adventures.
Also, don't forget to sign up for the give away! It is happening this evening!

Currently set up at larp event The Summoning, organised by Vortex Adventures, in the Netherlands.
They organise 3 events during the year and The Summoning is the main one, though there are quests and smaller group run events in between.
With around 400 people it is a lovely sized event. Come with a group, or come on your own.

Huge thanks to everyone who gave me a follow recently on instagram, it feels like my account exploded over there and I am super thankful for reaching the 1000 follower milestone!
This means I can go live again, it means more reach and it means a big giveaway to celebrate!
This giveaway is purely active on Insta, not FB. FB will get its own giveaway again when I reach the 2k milestone here.

Back in the workshop and back to work!
I also noticed the very quick rise in followers on Instagram over the last 30 days, which is extremely appreciated.
When we hit 1000, there will be a give away! And I should finally be able to go live again as well.
In the photos is a custom leather shoulder bag in progress, with a dusk themed faerytale machine embroidery.
Only 2 days in the workshop, tomorrow I will be setting up at Vortex Adventures' The Summoning larp event.

Shout out to my amazing neighbour and favourite Italian tailor, Narsilion!
Bespoke and off the rack historical clothing and hats, I always shop with him, if possible. Fine fabrics, amazing fit and craftsmanship.

Hello Conquest of Mythodea! Exploring the streets of the Tross (the city), filled with merchants and taverns, always busy. Beware though of the gangs and make sure you pay the 'street tax'.
