Well, I have been silent for quite some time as I am recovering from a serious shoulder injury, but don’t worry the kitchen has been well used and it’s full of proud momma moments, too!

Sodexo is putting on a “Future Chef” healthy cooking competition for the elementary schools in our town...and this little first grader decided to enter not one dish, but an entire nutritious meal that he conceptualized, tested and executed. And it even tastes good, too!

And the most precious part...he insisted on entering the competition so he could design a dish for his school that his buddy could eat (who has some very severe and limiting food allergies)!

He was selected as a finalist to compete next weekend with 6 other 1st thru 5th graders across the entire district!

So proud of my brave little man and his huge heart!
