This was shot on an acrylic tray over some small white tiles I grouted onto some wood so that it was just a small background. The most fun part of this shoot was blowing the bubbles into the water with soap.

Have I mentioned I love working with paint? Its the perfect combo of motion and still life for me. A lot goes into each one of my shots, that probably goes unnoticed.

For this shot I used a silver lid from an old gift box to resemble a "moon" behind the product since the color of this paint was moon beam.
include some kind of earth since this is a clay based paint. So I added white stones under the paint. The half arch behind the moon is actually a piece of wood painted with this paint, showing the actual color once dried. Getting the paint to balance perfectly on the stones, and be level took a little bit of work , and there is actually some poster tack under the edge of the paint to level it out.

Google says there are over 150,000 different shades of white. Want to test that? Try photographing objects that all look "white" to the naked eye.. They are FAR from that in camera.

I had a bunch of white boxes laying around my house from something we ordered. So I found all of the white cosmetic containers I could, peeled off labels and created a set. It took a ton of color balancing, and some compositing to get everything just right.

I know its ten days into January, but for the rest of the month, I will try and share white images here! I have some fun ones I can’t wait to share.

Last year I started a color challenge. Each month I choose a color, and post photos I have taken in that color. I thought white was a fitting color for January since its a fresh new year.

More macro berries for your weekend! Fun fact on this shot. We grew strawberries in our garden this year. We didn't get these from our garden though. I had planned to photograph them before eating them. The slugs got to them before I could and I was so disappointed.

So I went to the store and found the best looking berries I could find and then plucked a few leaves from the plants growing in our garden and arranged them in the berries. I wanted them to look fresh off the vine, and since ours didn't make it, this was my attempt at faking it.

Getting that perfect paint drip is my favorite. I literally will hold focus for up to a min on that spot until the drip falls and then its burst time. It takes some patience, but its always so exciting to catch it with its own little highlight.

This is for the color Red, which is Decembers color of the month. Just a few days left.

These last few weeks have been a whirlwind and posting things for the color red this month have been slow. I finally sat down for a few hours this weekend to get some edited and Ill share them over the next couple of days. Happy holidays!

The Ball

Here is the big project I have been working on! Happy Halloween from us! . 'The Ball' . I filmed this short video earlier this month when I was watching my nieces and nephew for a week. I meant to post it long before now ( after midnight on Halloween) but well.... Life. We went trick or treating until my youngest fell asleep, and it was too cold and snowing. Yes Snowing. We had the best time. I made the first of these videos about 2 years ago, and dressed up my little ones. Here is Part 2. Thank you to @nickconley for helping me make this happen, and to The Enders Hotel for letting us creep around the place. Happy Halloween!
