Angel in the Dark Performed by: Kat Turner Written by Kat Ann Turner and Robert Richards Dedicated to Noemi Bosques & Damaris Pacheco The Song: 20 years ago I brought an idea to Kat Turner for a song I started writing. It was about her and written for her to perform. After a year of collaboration on this track and one other track "Magnifying Glass" (about racism), we moved on to other projects. Years later Kat recorded a demo of the track in her home studio, a little cleaning up and a lot of time later here it is. The Video: I thought about what the song meant to me now, 20 years after writing it. All I could see was my good friend Noemi Bosques. Why? When her mother passed away some years ago, it was like a part of her was gone and cast her into a dark place of uncertainty. The very place I wrote the song from. She embraced the fact her mother was not here physically but was always with her in spirit and let it define her to raise her up, give her her strength, with the help of her "angel." Allowing her to live her dreams as a professional boxer, role model and influencer in life. So this song created to thank a friend that was my angel, to visually give to a friend that inspired and in dedication to her angel, has become very special to me. I hope you enjoy it, not a technical perfection but, lyricly and visually heartfelt and moving.
