Supporting Palestine to us means supporting human rights, showing up and showing solidarity.
In a world where we are somewhat living our day to day lives whilst watching another genocide unfold right in front of us, where Palestinians face continous disregard for their livelihoods and absolute destruction of their homes after years and years of oppression, showing up for Palestine and the Palestinian people in our daily lives and through our music is the absolute least we can do.

As a proud Irish woman, I express my solidarity with the Palestinian people in their enduring struggle.
The Palestinian people have suffered for the past 75 years with apartheid occupation, ethnic cleansing,land grabbing and heinous acts of violence.
I firmly believe in the inherent right of every child to a secure and equitable future.
It is in the collective interest of humanity to unite in support of the Palestinian cause and oppose all forms of racial and oppression.

“We support Palestinian liberation just as we support the rights and dignity of all colonised and oppressed people. We acknowledge we live on stolen land and the Palestinian struggle should force all of us, living in much older settler colonial projects (Australia, USA, Canada ect.) to recognise and vehemently oppose the continued ethic cleansing of historic Palestine.
The moral cowardice of our political leadership, as horrific violence is inflicted daily on the people of Gaza and the West Bank, as they are continually driven their homes, means we must do all that we can to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.”

“Witnessing this unrelenting genocide as it marches forth across all checkpoints of depravity has broken me open.

Unable to see past the cowardice & complicity of governments, especially our own, to intervene in any substantive way or curb their crazed warmongering, I can’t help but mourn and rage for the families, friends, culture and futures lost.

I cannot excuse or reconcile it, nor can the millions who tirelessly rally for what is right & just, taking inspiration from the unyielding spirit of Palestine & her people.

It is important for me to be part of this to both honour Palestinian resistance & future, as well as the community here that shows up and educates, welcomes and supports each other through this horror. Culture, art, music & community are very much cornerstones of Palestinian life, so it feels fitting to come together in this way as a show of strength & solidarity.”

Thank you to all the artist who donated work last weekend. Over 20 artists from across Kabi Kabi Country, Jinibara Country, and Magandjin have donated 2D x 3D work as a fundraiser response to the ongoing violences in Gaza.

All proceeds from art sales will be donated to TAQWA- a grass roots, Palestinian run initiative which supports refugee families arriving from Gaza. Aid will go to those fleeing and towards covering daily life expenses including paying rent, buying furniture, home appliances, clothing and everything they need to start a new life in a safe place.
