1 week ago we sang at Beattie Home in Ōtorohanga for their mid-winter Xmas Luncheon. The staff and audience were so warm and welcoming! Smiling faces everywhere while Santa danced to a couple of songs after giving the Residents a Ho ho ho and a wee gift. Suzy McPhail Sheree Marwood

Saturday 4th July Fusion was delighted to perform in support of the Suzy McPhail Initiative annual Mid- Winter Dance held in the Te Kowhai Hall. This Event is part of Suzy’s programmes, helping people living with dementia and their families to live a more fulfilling and supported life. Social connection is so important for both the person with dementia and their carers. We performed along with other artists, Cherie Holden, a beautiful singer and Illusion, a great Country Rock band. The audience were very appreciative and the dance floor always full. Gary Gibbs played his spoons to many of the songs adding to the percussion. This year the Hamilton Square Dancing Club put on a great display and the Whatawhata Line Dancing group lead the happy crowd in a few upbeat and modern line dances. The team of volunteers did an incredible job too in making the occasion special for all. Fusion is always delighted to sing at functions like this and honored to be joined by such talented performers. Bevan Holden, Cherie’s husband was as usual an incredible Engineer.

Tomorrow is the day!
Hope to see you there to enjoy great music,dance and delicious afternoon tea. A lovely afternoon to connect with friends . A group of geberous volunteers put this on in support of Dementia Support in the Community.

Kimihia Huntly and Summerset Rototuna all enjoyed Fusion! We always enjoy seeing the feet tapping, some sing along and others dance! The bird beside us at Kimihia certainly sang along with us. Unfortunately not in pitch!

Had an awesome afternoon singing at Cascades 1960’s mid year party! Some residents went all out dressing up in fluorescent colours, a staff member as Marilyn Munro and so much more. We had the privilege of being their entertainment! Those that we spoke to at the end said they thoroughly enjoyed it!

To everyone involved in the 2026 Summer Fundraising Concert, thank you very much!
The performances on stage were fantastic, the volunteers epic, the audience happy, generous and uplifting and the people who donated online, even though they couldn’t make the concert, incredible.
The talented group of performers who generously gave their time for all to enjoy in aid of this fundraiser… Fusion Singing Trio- Sheree, Janice and Suzy, …T KJammers - Tony and Kevin… ZODIACK - Cherie and Carla…Kyra Mae Wilson…TONIC - Tony Lee and. Bevan Holden was the fabulous sound engineer for the day.
