Tonight marks a culmination of a continuing journey for me.
The past 312 Tuesdays (give or take) have improved my creativity and given me a joy I couldn’t describe.
To all the people who took time to show up, hang out in the booth with me, dance or just have a cocktail and chill, I THANK YOU SO MUCH.
This is me, living the dreams I dared to dream and am humbled and grateful for the blessings and opportunities now and in the future.

Before I forget.. I had this dream where someone give you a book to read. It’s a beautiful story and as you get closer to the end, it starts to reveal the secret to your happiness. In my dream, when I do reach the conclusion, a series of events happen that coordinate in one big gathering/party of your loved ones throughout the years and people who have read the book including the person who gave it to you. There’s like a tribute and everyone tells their favorite story about you, I can see the meal being prepared, steaks sizzling, knowing I shouldn’t be in on the surprise, but somehow I am. It’s even a day I should be at work, but didn’t go or call. And it works out. To me, it sounds like a movie, that many people in your life, making a concerted effort to celebrate you. But I guess, you and I are can be the secret to each other’s happiness, if in many little ways we celebrate this day, and this loved one. Tell someone you care about they are loved. You may think they know, but put a stamp on it. Now, I’m not sure where I was going with this, considering I haven’t dreamt in a long time but have a beautiful day and HEY? I love you!

I need to get back to this SIZE! I had no idea I looked this good, 10 years ago. I went to my first LA Black Pride on Dockweiler Beach, and dipped my toes in the Pacific Ocean for the first time…I thought I was fat. My first West Coast Pride.

It’s been 5 years since she left us. This was at @930club on New Year’s Eve 2009/10. It’s the second time Sharon pulled me on stage to dance with her.
