We’re pretty sure that baby girl is going to be a PARTY ANIMAL because of how many dance parties she attended in utero lol. Watching this video has made me SO nostalgic for weddings and parties- I love love LOVE a good reception!!!
I am never going to get over this beautiful Yosemite elopement. Never.
Also, having a videographer at your elopement is a MUST. Some people choose not to hire one because it’s so small and intimate, but I think that’s a major reason why you NEED to. You get to immortalize the beautiful promises you make to one another & the love you shared on that adventurous day for FOREVER. Whether you choose to share it with anyone else or keep it private is entirely up to you 💛 Contact us to inquire about or elopement packages- for video, photo, or both!
In honor of yesterday being both valentine’s day AND arizona’s birthday, I thought I should post this video of the most IN-LOVE couple ever in the most STUNNING arizona location. I love love + I love arizona + I love all of u guys ily
I know I’m a little late, but WOW. 2020. What a year. In the past 12 months, we shot *42* weddings/elopements (with countless other projects sprinkled in between). Sometimes things got a little too crazy & I felt a little burned out, but I wouldn’t have traded it for the world.
I cannot even BEGIN to describe what an honor it was to celebrate with each of my 42 sweet couples this past year. I cannot believe that I got to witness 42 of the BEST DAYS OF PEOPLES LIVES this past year. That blows me away.
So, thank you all. Thank you for trusting me, for letting me tell your story, and for becoming my friends!!! I truly love you all!
For 2021, my goals are to slow down, stress less, and live in the moment. I can’t wait to celebrate with all of my 2021 couples and beyond! We still have dates open for this next year, so reach out soon to book your big day!!! ✨
SURPRISE!!!! we’re having a BABY and it is a GIRL 💕✨ we could not be more thrilled to add a little bean to our family!!! coming may 2021.
(I’ll be hopping on my stories today later with some more info. xoxo)
Wishing I was back in Cabo instead of melting in the hottest summer of az history, but IT IS WHAT IT IS.
It was seriously SUCH an honor to be a part of this day. Everything about it was perfection. The waves crashing in the background, the bride forgetting her vow book in the house, the first dance surrounded by sparklers- it was all magical and perfect. Cheers to forever, Tony & Patty!!!
You guys. exits are one of my favorite parts of wedding days. They are always so beautiful & so fun and they seriously make me giddy. However, I’ve heard so many brides say, “my venue doesn’t allow sparklers, so we’re not doing an exit...” Sparklers are obviously GORGEOUS, but there are so many other beautiful and unique exits you can do! Confetti, bubbles, smoke bombs, phone flashlights, whatever. You have so many options.
Here are some tips for your reception exit:
- Have FUN. You don’t need to rush through it! Dance, kiss, have your partner carry you, whatever!!! Do it again if you want! Just have fun!
- Not all sparklers are created equal: some burn brighter or differently than others, so make sure that you do your research on them & get the look you want.
- GET THE LONG SPARKLERS. I know they cost a little bit more, but it’s absolutely worth it.
- If you’re doing an exit where people are throwing confetti or anything, make sure it’s biodegradable or make sure you have people committed to picking up every last bit of it- leave no trace!
- Make it YOU.
I’m going to share some ideas on my story that I absolutely love! Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions about exits- I’ve seen a lot of them 😜
Story time, y’all. This cutest couple met when they were in preschool, at the very church they got married in!!!! They have photos together throughout their whole lives in this church, and now they have their wedding photos to add to the mix. Have you ever heard anything cuter?!? 🥺 It was such a privilege to film this sweet couple & to witness the adoration and respect they had for each other. (also, I couldn’t resist adding some of their exit into this video, too. it was too perfect.)
YOU GUYS!!! MY *HUSBAND* FILMED THIS WEDDING BY HIMSELF!!! Didn’t he do such a good job?!? I was booked on the day these cute friends of ours got married, so we offered to send jacob instead!!! Now, he’s booked for 5 more weddings all on his own! So, let me know if you need a videographer for your temple wedding on a little bit of a discount- Jacob’s your guy!!! (Also, give this post some love & tell him how dang good he did 🤩)
I became a wedding videographer by accident. Now, don’t get me wrong, I carried around our family video camera for as long as I can remember and recorded every moment that went on in my house. I saved up for my first DSLR camera when I was 16 years old and was always making videos of my family, friends, and adventures I went on. I adored videography. But weddings?! h*ck no. I felt like that was so much pressure!!! weddings are the most important day of peoples’ lives and there was NO CHANCE I would risk messing it up.

I was going to school in social work when my friend from high school reached out and said “hey, we can’t afford a videographer- would you want to come film our wedding?” I spent probably 80 hours editing that wedding because I had no idea how the heck to do it- it was so stressful and I thought I would never do another one. BUT a friend of my mom’s saw the video and asked me to do her daughters (and so on). So, I went with it! I took the leap. I dropped out of school, spent way too much money on gear and education, quit my job, used practically every waking second thinking and talking about the business, and HERE WE ARE!!!

Now, I literally can NOT imagine my life doing anything different. I feel SO BLESSED to be where I’m at, I feel like I could explode. Like, do you see this wedding?! Can you feel that love?! I get to surround myself with that all day, and I get PAID for it!!! So, THANK YOU to my couples who trust me to do this for them. Thank you for letting me be a part of your most special moments and live my new dream. Thanks to everyone who likes, comments, shares, and recommends me to people you know. Everything makes such a big difference and I love you all 🥺💛
Fun fact: When I’m putting together my wedding films, audio is the FIRST thing I lay down over the music. Before I even touch the videos, I make sure I know exactly when and where I’m using the best audio. Then, I build the rest of the footage around the vows and speeches that I choose to use! I cannot stress enough how much it can enhance your wedding film- it truly makes your video tell a story.

So, here is my “expert tip” for you! Include audio as much as possible in your day. If you don’t want to share personal vows in front of your friends and family, that is totally fine!!! However, consider maybe writing letters to one another that you read on camera so you can forever remember how you were feeling on that day. Encourage fun, concise, and well thought out speeches from those giving toasts. When we ask to mic up your groom for the first look “just in case”, just trust us. Sometimes magic happens, and we never want to miss a thing ✨🥰
Let’s talk about ELOPEMENTS. The best part about eloping is that your day can look like WHATEVER you want it to. You want to ride a hot air balloon? Go scuba diving? Go for a bike ride? Have a picnic? You can do everything and anything you want as part of your wedding day. Do you want family there? Just you two? Whatever you want!

If I were to imagine my perfect elopement day, I would probably elope somewhere on the beach. We’d go longboarding, eat at a cute little diner, get married with our closest friends and family, jump in the ocean in our wedding clothes, drink lots of Dr. Pepper, and end the night with some stargazing ✨
