I started as a street DJ in 1979 at 16 in Buffalo, NY. During that time Hip Hop,cutting ,scratching, blending and Disco was just starting-up in Buffalo. In 1979, I was doing a house party on a pair of BSR turntables (see below...very old) and a DJ from NYC DJ Wizard (he was attending Buffalo State) came to the party and he showed me a little scratching. I was hooked!! Had a lot of DJ battles in the the early 80's before they were called battles. I worked in a lot of clubs across the US and Canada , and did some remixes for WBLK and WUFO in Buffalo, NY in the early 80's and 90's. In 1984 I established Wolf Entertainment (DJ Wolf-D, DJ P*e Wee, DJ Lil Wolf , DJ Bobby B, MC Showtime and MC Maniac ) we did the first all night teen dance party in Buffalo's History at Arena Skate Rink. It was incredible to have thousands of teens at our party! I had a great time back in my prime DJ days! I Still enjoy playing on the 1's and 2's. 😎 on occasion, I will do homecomings, proms, weddings and general parties. To my young DJ's just a little advice. It's all about entertaining and knowing your audience. It's your energy and the attention to detail that takes your audience on the musical journey. DJ Wolf-D
