These are difficult. Documenting owners who love their pets so deeply and the pets who are closing the chapter in this life is heartbreaking. I cry every time. Even if it’s not in front of the clients. I usually have a good cry in my car on the way back home.
But I keep doing these because I know how incredibly important these photographs become. I know after a few days, weeks, or months, that looking at these images will make their owners feel better and begin to heal. I know these photos show them how much they deeply loved - if they had ever questioned it.
I know how much these sessions mean.
And I thank every brave client who contacts me for these sessions because I know the gift they give back. ❤️🩹
