I get to weddings early to setup, find and take photos of the bride & groom. They never get a change to sit for a drawing during the reception, so at the end I'll give it to them, one last surprise!

Some caricatures I drew at a wedding last night. I get there early to get pictures of the bride and groom so I have some time to do their picture and have it done by the end, so that they don’t have to sit for one.

I did caricatures at Stony Brook again Saturday, this time I was more prepared. It rained but stopped at my starting time and the sun came out as you can see. But being under the tree every time the breeze came, drops would fall on my board so I had my rain jacket handy to cover the drawings until the leaves dried out.

This is from a wedding I drew caricatures at last weekend. I take pictures of the bride and groom when I get there, work on it during any lulls like during the introductions, speeches, etc. And give it to them by the end of the wedding since they hardly ever get a chance to sit. Note the date(s) in the lower left corner, they rescheduled this with me numerous times because of Covid, they loved that special touch ;o)
