Looking forward to this. Oh the freedom of doing whatever you want, with out having to ask permission from anyone! And of course its always nice to be asked.

As part of Eco-Future Fest, we want to celebrate our amazing natural world and offer our local artists, musicians and writers a platform for their creativity.

Join us in the Neeld for music from singer-songwriter Luke Gittins, who has recently performed on ITV's Lorraine show and onstage at O2 arena with Ed Sheeran himself!

There will also be traditional folk music from Catharsis, ukulele music from Strung Out and a special performance by young musicians Bailey Upton and Meg from Hardenhuish School.

In between sets, listen to musings on the environment from poets Gail from Devizes; Poetry & Prose, Brian "Mojoetry" Reid and the award-winning Des Mannay.

Feast your eyes on our Art for the Environment exhibition upstairs in the Town Hall where local artists have created striking works on the ‘Climate Crisis’ and ‘Green Future in Chippenham’. Our competition winners will be announced and awarded their prizes on the day!

Lockdown

You cant see it til its in you
You cant feel it til it hits you
You cant dodge it when it surrounds you
You cant engage safe mode
Your walking blindfold in the middle of the road
Unsure and scared soon to be permanently scarred
A global levelling event
This is gold medal content
Nothing will ever be the same again
Whatever you think reality is just changed
The musics out of sync
Not matter what you think
All the hand wringing in the world is too little and much too late
Global economics about to stagnate and no amount of spin can help us relate
Everything is built on the lie of stability
But life is full of volatility
Seething raging flaring and glaring
Violence just below the surface
Ready for deep sharing
The dragons within us unleashed by fear and power cuts
Be fearful,
be tearful
be grateful
Dont let bravado and ignorance make you hateful

About the latest victim she has lit upon
Battered with a stone
Made to feel alone
Exposed to the fierce cyclone
Generated by the spotlight thrown
