🌼 Spring is here and with the renewal this season brings comes hopeful thoughts of soon being able to gather again with friends and family.
The lovely detail of edible flowers embellishing these dishes is a perfect reminder of how we can elevate any foods we serve to make them more appealing to the eye and more interesting to the palate..🌼

Even if we can't gather in the way we'd like to right now, why not add a few touches to make your home feel special for those you are sheltering with? Freshen up your kitchen or dining area -- new paint color, lighting, textiles, flowers, etc. -- to breathe new life into a room.

We can create good times and memories right in our own homes by preparing wonderful meals to share with those we care most about. Let's make the best of the current circumstances because we still have a great deal to be thankful for.

🌾I'm working on the design for an upcoming birthday celebration and the client is looking to incorporate a rustic feel to the decor. I suggested that there are beautiful dried grasses and other plants growing wild now that can be used to add a natural feel to the event space. Winter may be a time of dormancy but there is still beauty all around us.🌾

I love using natural elements to bring the outdoors inside and there are so many ways to use greens, pinecones and other foraged pieces to design a special setting.

Afternoon tea is a lovely tradition in England and I so enjoyed the experience. It forces you to slow down and appreciate the company you're with and the delectable food you're eating. I think it would be great fun to plan a tea party! Must have scones with clotted cream and jam!! Too good for words!!

I'm really loving these grazing boards & platters for entertaining. I've seen whole tables filled with bite-sized food -- great fun for your guests! It's a great way to offer lots of savory and sweet options and you can even skip the heavy entrees.

Such a fun time planning this 50th birthday celebration held at an amazing New Hope estate on Saturday. It was a beautiful fall day and the property was the perfect backdrop for the festivities.
