I'm heartbroken to hear about the passing of Adam Kavanagh of Newfoundland Canvas.

Since I moved home to Newfoundland, he was the only person I trusted with my photos and my clients' work – and any photographer knows that kind of trust is everything. He wasn't just talented; his dedication and generosity were a true inspiration.

​During my cancer treatment, on one of my darkest days, he did something that brought a smile to my face and managed to reignite my passion for photography, as it's done every day since. What an irreplaceable gift.

​My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved him. The beauty and precision of his craft has been a part of so many of our homes for years now, and will remain for generations to come. He will be so, so missed. ❤️‍🩹

My heart breaks for Robert Munsch, and all of his readers both young and older to hear that he's been struggling with dementia. His whole life, he's had mental health and addiction issues to overcome and he deserves to end his life on his own terms. I had the honor and pleasure of attending a performance of his in Fredericton NB with my daughter, when she was just a toddler. We met him after the show and told him what his books mean to us, him and his books mean as much to us today as then and every time we read them to ourselves or others. He was a kind but nervous man who loved to engage with his audience and tell a great story. We'll love you forever Robert Munsch.
