✨ A special message ✨
This first book was a long time coming.
Making Penny into a storybook character has been part of my vision since I launched the Penny Pom Pom project in 2019 but my dream of being an illustrator and storyteller goes way back.
I have always been drawing. I don’t remember a time when I didn’t use drawing as my way to navigate the world and deal with emotions. When I was happy, I drew. When I was sad, I drew even more. As a kid, i always kept a sketch book under my pillow and would draw until i fell asleep. I could escape to a place where I felt powerful and truly myself. Drawing has been so much more than a hobby or eventually a job to me over the years, it’s been my most intimate and magical friend.
This first book is only the beginning. Penny is going to be going on a whole lot of adventures and I can’t wait to be the one to draw them for you all 💜 Thank you for supporting this first book and for believing in my magic ✨
