Lauren & Nate where do I even begin ❤️ The first time I chatted with Lauren I embarrassingly had to cut the conversation short because I went into labour 🙈 But a year later they said I do and it was prefect. They say there’s always a rainbow after the rain which is exactly what happened that day. They handled the last minute changes and thunderstorms like it was nothing. I can’t even begin to gush over their amazing family and wedding party they deserve a post of their own they were all so wonderful. I felt like a member of the family by the time I left.

& it was an absolute pleasure & honour to be included in your special day and I wish you both a lifetime rainbows and happiness 🌈❤️

It’s our 4th anniversary today ❤️ To celebrate here are 4 tips that helped make our day extra special!

1. We wrote our own vows. This can be intimidating for couples but I promise it’s worth it! Remind yourself you are writing for our partner not the world. No one is going to grade your vows. As a life long Jane Austen lover I included my favourite quote into my vows.

2. Choose a place that is special for your venue. For us that was my Grandpas house. It’s fun walking the woods with our kids now and showing them where we were married. Bonus it also allowed our dog to be our best man!

3. Add personal touches to items. My husbands boutonniere included mallard duck feathers, and we had a feather girl instead of a flower girl! It was a simple add on for our love of duck hunting. The arch and ring boxes were made of wood from our cabin and my favourite type of tree.

4. The final and most important tip! Dance like no one is watching 💃🕺

Are you planning a dreamy tented backyard wedding? I’ve chatted with a couple clients lately about their backyard wedding dreams and they certainly hold a soft spot in my heart. I was my married in my Grandpas back yard. While it was a lot of work it was rewarding when the day came. It’s extra special now when we go for visits and can say “Hey that’s the spot where mommy and daddy got married!”

Happy Holidays & New Year! 2022 was a whirlwind! I started the year nervous to book clients due to having a summer baby, working a wedding 36 weeks pregnant joking as soon as it was over he could come any time! Then taking on new clients right before he was born and working every weekend in September plus half of October and I don’t regret a thing! I loved bringing him to dress rehearsals, having my daughter help arrange flowers, and seeing her excited to wake up on Sunday’s to see what treat I brought her from the wedding the night before.

Big things coming in 2023 and it’s going to be a lot of hard work but after taking on this years load with a new baby I know we can handle it.

When I say I’ve been planning weddings my entire life I really mean it. Pictured here is me as a child in a bridesmaid dress from my Grandmas wedding. Not pictured is my friends also in dresses standing where I’ve told them too 😂 If you’ve visited my website and read my bio you know I grew up across the street from a church and spent my weekends watching weddings out my family’s big bay window with my Mom. It’s one of my favourite childhood memories 💒

P.S. I made my friends marry my buddy doll from the 80s 😂🙈
