Interesting post on a dj forum, a lot of people who request songs are pretty rude and demanding. It's true a lot of them are these days. I had a girl at the weekend ask for a song that I didn't think would fit in, but I always set requests aside and try to fit in when suitable, up she comes again with loads of attitude.. needless to say she's still waiting for her song 😉

Pro tip.. being nice goes a long way.

Here's a couple of tips if you happen to be going out to sing a bit of karaoke tonight. Look around the room, note where the speakers are, then stand as far away from them as humanly possible. Confused looks to the host when the feedback starts ringing won't make any difference. We're not magicians.
Do not hold the mic at arms length pointing it vaguely at your face and expect it to sound good. Moving the mic closer to your mouth will always sound better.
If the singer before you sounded good, think about the above tips.

Hello folks, When a booking is made your date is locked in, Nobody else can have it. It's taken out of the diary. I've had to implement deposits because of recent cancellations.
This means I am not only loosing out on your night the chances are I've said no to someone else. Deposits are ideally paid on booking, but i will allow you 48 hours to pay.
