Here's the back story to this release and some credits...

It was September 2018 and I had a set booked at the Intrinzic x Balter Festival at Lakota in October playing in the Western Lore room (alongside Deejay Endo, Sam Binary, Artificial Red, Josimar and PHC) and wanted to play something I'd made. Shout out to Dead Man's Chest Alex Eveson for the opportunity.

I'd met up with Tim Cant at a couple of local events earlier that year, where we got chatting about tunes and potentially producing something, so we made plans! I worked with Tim in his Bristol studio in September. I turned up with my samples and he guided me through the whole process, me writing and producing and Tim engineering - providing all of the technical wizardry in Ableton. Within 4 hours we had a finished tune! I road tested it at Lakota a few weeks later, where Tim was present and taking notes, which then informed some post-production tweaks. I can thoroughly recommend working with Tim, he made it an easy and fun process and we got fast results. Check out Tim's YouTube channel for some excellent content https://www.youtube.com/

Just after I'd played it, DJ Azure asked me what I was going to do with it and at the time I literally had no idea! Little did I know that 7 years later it would be pressed up and being sold! Big up DJ Azure, your question sat in my brain long enough to motivate me to do something about it!

In 2020 I became aware of some tunes by Krugah, a producer from Brownsville, Brooklyn NYC, on Bandcamp (listen here https://www.soulandpainmusikproductions.bandcamp.com/...) and reached out to him to see what else he had. It wasn't long before I was including his tracks regularly in my radio shows and mixes. In 2023 we met briefly in Bristol when he was over for Jungle Syndicate (also a Lakota party!) after which we started talking about doing a remix of my tune. I sent him the stems and he returned with this absolutely lethal remix! It retains a lot of the elements from the original and elevates them to another level, also embelishing the vocal elements bringing more hip hop energy to the tune. Big ups Krugah, thank you for your remix, it slams!

Bringing the tunes to the physical form, I had Hue Jah Fink do the digital mastering and Simon Davey from The Exchange Vinyl cut the lacquers. Vinyl Presents did the pressing. I'm very grateful to all of them and am really happy with the finished product. Hue Jah Fink Simon Davey Vinyl Presents
