A three day celebration for a very special birthday is the absolute minimum, wouldn't you agree?

Working with Johnny Roxburgh Designs, we treated guests to three days of feasting, starting with a decadent afternoon tea, finishing with an opulent brunch, and in between, this stunning seated dinner for 60.

The fine dining experience began with an amuse bouche of smoked aged beef big mac tartare, Exmoor caviar, chestnut mushroom, toast tuille and raw Quails egg served in a gold caviar tin with mother of pearl spoon.

For mains, seared Venison fillet, caramelised onion puree, smoked bone marrow potato terrine, compressed blackberries, Garton's Garden nasturtium leaves, heritage beetroot and jus.

Guests left the feasting table for a selection of desserts, both playful and sophisticated.

🍡Our signature 'Fab' - white chocolate and raspberry parfait, sprinkles
🍋The 'Lemon party ring' - genoise sponge, lemon mousse, Amalfi lemon glaze
🍫'Chocolate entremet' - a rich chocolate sponge, salted caramel cream, mousse, popping candy
🍓A classic strawberry cheesecake served in slices to indulge in.

What's a good celebration without a tipple or two? We pulled out all the stops to ensure every guest had the perfect drink in hand at this recent private celebration.

Whilst our client provided their own hand picked champagne, wine and beers for our team to serve, our bar staff knocked up a couple of show stopping cocktails to aid festivities.

Around the world in 80 flavours...(almost!) 🌎

This private party provided a gastronomic journey like no other, beginning with an incredible lineup of canapés that set taste buds alight.

Guests savoured the Indian Summer paratha with vadouvan aubergine and tandoori pineapple salsa, Tokyo Rice Crispy featuring crispy sticky black rice and pink pickled Tokyo radish, followed by a take on a British classic - The 'Egg in a Nest' - Moxon's smoked hot smoked salmon quail scotch egg nestled in a large basket to name but a few.

But this was merely the beginning. Attendees were then ushered to the most incredible and abundant food stations - Nobu Fusion and The Taqueria.

Nobu Fusion dazzled with Chilean sea bass, hamachi sashimi, and the renowned Nobu Black Cod. Aged beef fillet tataki and crispy roast duck pancakes rounded out this Asian-inspired feast.

Meanwhile, The Taqueria transported visitors to Mexico with an array of mouthwatering tacos - from shredded chicken with habanero and papaya salsa to pork pibil and baked adobo aubergines.

Alongside these international cuisines, bowl foods circulated throughout the evening. Souk Lamb - slow-braised spiced lamb shoulder, the 'Wye Valley Risotto' bursting with wild garlic and asparagus, and The London Fish Cake featuring Moxon's Earlsfield smoked trout were some of the stars of the evening.

The grand finale was a dessert station where guests customised their own cronuts and doughnuts, loading them up with an assortment of toppings like chocolate sprinkles, fresh fruit and crumble, or taking syringes of lemon curd, Chantilly cream or caramel to fill their pastries. 🍩

It was truly a night of culinary indulgence - especially for the late night revellers who then indulged in smash burgers, fries and home made chicken nuggets - the perfect late night treat after a hard nights party!

Happy Anniversary G&M!

Last weekend we were delighted to cater a fabulous celebration in a quintessential English garden - we were even blessed with glorious summer sunshine! 🌞.

As with every great summer celebration, the event began with Pimms and champagne and some of our favourite canapés, like Limoncello cured wild salmon, aubergine tacos and our miniature heritage tomato bonsai trees. 🍅

A three-course dinner followed in a beautifully dressed marquee with stunning summer florals. The menu focussed on seasonal and sustainable dishes:

🌱 Poached new season asparagus, Waterloo mousse, pickled celery, heritage radishes, candied walnuts, lemon oil and micro celery, edible flowers

🐟 Gilt head Cornish Bream, Coco Bean, vegetable and cultured cream nage, foraged salsa verde, fresh Hackney basil

🍐The Pear
London Honey white chocolate mousse, pear chutney, pear gel, vanilla genoise sponge, honey bees tuiles

At the start of this year we began a partnership with the Community Fridge project at the Oasis Hub, Waterloo. Providing good food to those who need it the most and stop good food going to waste.

Our team now box up and label any unserved food from all our events and drop it directly at the fridge.

Last night, after just four months, we dropped off our 1000th meal – a bittersweet moment for sure. Whilst we’re delighted to be turning this negative into a positive by feeding those in need and minimising waste, this is a milestone that illustrates the wider issue of food waste and how much more could be done.

We will be sharing more about our work with the team who run the Waterloo Community Fridge next week.

There's something truly enchanting about Al Fresco dining, especially during the quintessential British summertime.

We've always been in love with the idea of cooking and eating outdoors, surrounded by nature's beauty and the warmth of good company.

The great outdoors has a way of elevating any dining experience. The smokey flavours imparted by cooking over an open flame, the fresh air and balmy sunshine, and the rustle of leaves in the breeze all contribute to an atmosphere that's impossible to replicate indoors.

Whether we're catering an intimate wedding in the grounds of a stately manor, setting up a floral adorned marquee in a private garden, or even grilling up a feast on a golf course (yes, it's an annual tradition!), there's a special kind of magic that happens when food and nature come together.

We'd like to introduce the newest, shiniest (and quietest) addition to the JGC family - our fully electric Ford Transit. 🚚

He/she/they don't have a name yet but they are quite literally helping us accelerate to our Net Zero target. When it's not quietly and cleanly delivering delicious food to events and for our new lunch service it will be dropping any leftover food with our friends at the Community Fridge, Waterloo. 🌽

Our logistics manager Cam (look how excited he is!) drives it the most and he's already in love, not least because he no longer has to sing loud over the engine noise whilst he's enjoying Magic FM!! 🎶
