THANK YOU!

With a deep sense of gratitude and a heart full of love, after 18 years, I’ve decided to retire from event and wedding planning. I am truly honored to have produced so many incredible events, collaborating with some of the best in the industry.

The families and couples I’ve worked with shared so much of themselves with me. Thank you for confiding in me and trusting me with such important milestones.

I’ve learned so much from my teams and creative partners over the years. You’ve inspired me, taught me countless lessons (good and bad), brought laughter and sometimes tears to the day, listened to insane ideas, dreamed up concepts and brought them to life and were ever so patient and kind to me. Most of all, you walked the Storied path by my side until it was time to end this journey and begin a new chapter.

I will forever be grateful to this community. 🤍

We are celebrating July with pool parties, freedom of posting whatever I feel like, and recapping all of my favorite July weddings. ✨

A cocktail hour that looked just as delicious as it tasted.

I LOVE cocktail hour. Your guests should too. Keep the post nuptial excitement going by following a few tips:

✨ Do greet guests with passed cocktails (in addition to having sufficient bars open). This will help to avoid lines at the bar. Don’t pre-pour cocktails + leave them sitting on a table for guests to grab.

✨ Do offer a water station. Keep in mind not everyone likes flavored water.

✨Do speak with your caterer/bar service about signature cocktails and how they can be prepared fresh + quickly. Don’t make them so complicated it takes 5 minutes to make just one. And don’t forget those zero proof beverages.

✨ Food! This is the time to offer bites of local cuisine + let your caterer get creative. Do pass an assortment of items AND provide a grazing table (or two). By combing passed and displayed options, there is something for everyone. Don’t place food outside in the sun (Too many reasons to list + cheese is not pretty when it sweats.)

✨Do mind the time. Definitely plan on enjoying your cocktail hour, but don’t go over an hour and half. Try to take most of your photos pre-ceremony.

✨If you must take all of your photos during cocktail hour, DO ensure two servers are bringing cocktails and bites. During the planning process let your planner or caterer know what drinks and food you prefer - it will help the service run smoothly.

Jeannie + Ryder 🤍

This incredibly talented couple hosted three days of events at their new home for friends and family. The weekend gathering was filled with casual conversation, dance-worthy tunes, meaningful (I mean tearfully wonderful) vows, creative details in every corner, a gown like no other, incredible food + craft beverages, and a truly relaxing vibe. Mother Nature also showed off in a dramatic fashion.

S+ J: The design. Every element in the environment was specifically chosen to represent what Simi + Joe value the most - family and where they live. Inspiration was drawn from Joe’s Cuban heritage, Simi’s love of red tones and the quite luxury of Vermont.

Simi and Joe wanted to add their own touch by creating all the day of stationery AND drying oranges to use as place cards. Like most of our at-home couples, S+J went ultra personal by adding rugs and a few soft pieces of furniture to the tent space. One of my favorite pieces was a large gold frame Simi found on the side of the road. When she asked if we could use it somewhere, I said, “he** YES!”. The frame became our muse for the es**rt card display.

On the wedding day, prior to the reveal, Simi’s mom entered the tent and introduced me to the style of “rough luxe”. Then she told me I nailed it. 🤍 I am feeling it.

Simi + Joe’s reception tent was bold, stunning, and colorful during the day AND spectacular in the evening. I collaborated on lighting design with to create an environment that would transition seamlessly as the sun set.

The surrounding manicured landscape and trees were highlighted as detailed vintage floral chandeliers came to life as the dance party started. 💫

Simi + Joe began their weekend destination wedding with a contra dance welcome party.

It was such an honor to plan their celebration and build their venue(s). As a second family wedding for us, it was close to my heart. 🤍

This weekend was also a long time coming! Twice postponed due to Covid, the third year was finally a charm.

Though time changed a few elements throughout the planning years, Simi + Joe stayed true to their wishes; A warm, inviting atmosphere that incorporated both Cuban influences and the old world luxuries of Vermont.

A contra dance paired with Cuban influenced bites + cocktails was the perfect welcome for their family and guests.

One of the most beautiful moments of a wedding day is just before guests arrive at the reception tent.

The details are perfectly set, and the tent is cleared for photos. We magically whisk the couple (and sometimes families) into the space for their personal reveal.

When Adrienne + Trevor saw their tent and reception details for the first time, lots of emotion, gratitude (ours too!) and many hugs filled the space. A little practice twirl on the dance floor may have occurred too. ✨

Sam + Jimmy | Wedding Day Part 3. The reception (the PARTY)

S+J decided to stick with many long held traditions AND at the same time break away from standards.

Guests were welcomed to tables filled with bright colored blooms, textures, layers and thoughtful details. Asian accents were placed around tables and the reception tent to honor family history. ✨

immediately brought the crowd to their feet, killing it with S+J’s favorite tunes.

Dinner included a choice of NY strip steak, salmon and HOT + CRISPY chicken. And yes, spicy butter honey accompanied.

The stunning and delicious cake from was adorned with sugar flowers and surrounded by S+J’s favorite sweets.

As the disco ball turned, memories were made and one hell of a dance party carried on…

Sam + Jimmy | Wedding Day. Part 2 - Ceremony + Cocktails

I could view S+J’s ceremony photos all day. Their day was filled with bright, cheerful vibes + an abundance of love.

As guests arrived they were greeted with strawberry lemonade, paper cones filled with toss petals and a beautiful ceremony program designed by . All of the wedding day printed materials continued the vibrant colors and patterns of the invitation suite.

The aisle and alter were blooming with incredible roses and peonies designed by .

played XO by John Mayer as Jimmy walked down the aisle, es**rted by his parents. Sam, es**rted by her father, chose Canon in D for her processional. Jimmy’s cousin had the honor of officiating this ceremony ✨.

Following the nuptials, guests and family gathered around the pool for cocktails and bites. Signature cocktails included a spicy margarita and an aperol spritz.

Prior to entering the reception tent, guests enjoyed hand held Asian fans, signing the guest book + views of Mount Mansfield.

Sam + Jimmy | Wedding Day Part 1 - Getting ready.

After witnessing hundreds of “getting ready” mornings, I can attest S+J’s start to the day was perfect. ✨

With the incredibly talented team from Sam + her wedding party enjoyed a relaxing experience on location. With her mom and best friend by her side, Sam stepped into her gown before seeing the rest of the bridesmaids.

Jimmy dressed with his dad + groomsmen, while a few of the other guys enjoyed a quick dip in the pool.

Of course, celebratory champagne and cocktails were enjoyed by all.

Sam + Jimmy | Friday

Day 2 of 3 brought more personal touches to S+J’s Stowe, Vermont wedding weekend.

Spending time on the mountain was a life long activity for the couple. Desiring an intimate, traditional Rehearsal Dinner, Sam and Jimmy knew The Cliff House at the top of Mount Mansfield was a perfect location.

One of Sam’s best friends created a stunning painting of the mountain for them and also detailed a beautiful seating chart and the table name cards.

Following a wonderful dinner and cocktails with a view, S+J joined all of their guests for welcome party poolside featuring casual bites and drinks.

To kickstart the wedding weekend, S+J held an intimate Catholic ceremony with their families. Following the nuptials, they enjoyed a private dinner with their loved ones. ✨

It was a beautiful way to celebrate together before all their guests arrived in town.

These table “names” quickly became a favorite! knocked it out of the park with 20 custom animal drawings for A+Z’s wedding.

Highlighting the couples love for wildlife, drawings were carried through on designs for the invitation suite, es**rt (seating) cards, matchbooks, cocktail napkins, and late night cups.
