About sunday night what a movie

Back in the 90s if you were into jungle music you had to go Black Market records on D’Arlay St in Soho, it was the hub of the scene , selling tracks from all the hottest labels , we used to go on a Saturday afternoon and squeeze into the shop (coz it was always packed out) and head down to the basement to hear this man mix all the latest promos , the system was like a club system with the bass shaking ur rib cage and the energy of us all excited to hear new music all added to the electric vibe !! When a tune played that you wanted you gave the nod and it was added to your pile to purchase, when I started making tracks around 18 years old I’d take them down on a dat tape in the hope that this man might cut them on Dubplate and play them out , always encouraging , always gave great feedback and even cut one of them and gave me his phone number so I could arrange to come out and hear it played in the club , imagine going to Telepathy and hearing your track being played with Stevie Hyper D MCing over the intro , mind blowing for a likkle sound yout 🤯- and the encouragement needed to know you were on the right life path … 25 years later was an honour to play on the same bill on Xmas Eve (big up ) ….
