Another round of snow has blanketed Kentucky, and we’re soaking up a quiet, cozy weekend at home. But you know what’s keeping us warm? The thought that wedding season is just around the corner—and with it, no more snow! (At least we hope so, Kentucky weather likes to keep us guessing!)

We are so excited for the upcoming year and want to let you know that we have very limited availability for 2025. At A Wave of the Wand Photography, we intentionally take on a limited number of weddings each year to ensure we can dedicate our full attention and love to our amazing clients.

With that said, our 2026 calendar is wide open and ready for all the dreamy celebrations to come!

If you’re considering us for your 2025 wedding, we strongly recommend booking soon. Once our final dates are secured, we’ll be closing our 2025 calendar. Don’t wait—let’s make some magic happen together!

✨ Fun Fact About Me! ✨

Most of my clients don’t know this, but I’m actually an ordained officiant! 📜💍 This year, I had the absolute honor of officiating two incredible weddings, and let me tell you—stepping out from behind the camera to be part of a ceremony in such a meaningful way is so special.

It’s such a joy to experience a wedding from a completely different perspective, and I love that at least once a year, I get to play this unique role in someone’s big day! 🥰

In celebration of the holiday season, we will be closed starting today, Sunday, December 22nd, until after the first of the year. During this time, we’re taking some much-needed time off to enjoy the holidays with our loved ones. While we will still be checking emails, responses will be on a case-by-case basis, as we want to focus on being present and away from social media and emails.

Real Talk: Let’s Chat About Credit Card Chargebacks

Hey friends! This is something super important I want to share because it doesn’t just apply to me as a wedding photographer—it affects all vendors you work with.

When you book a service, sign a contract, and the vendor delivers everything you paid for (photos, flowers, food—whatever it may be), doing a chargeback through your credit card claiming you didn’t receive the product or service is theft.

Here’s the thing: If you’ve downloaded your gallery, shared it with family and friends, and used the images, then turn around and file a chargeback saying, “I never got my photos,” you’re lying—and it’s no different than stealing.

This isn’t just a small inconvenience for the vendor. Chargebacks hurt businesses financially, emotionally, and even legally when the vendor has to spend time proving their side. Vendors—especially wedding photographers—keep detailed proof of service, like contracts, timestamps, delivery confirmations, and downloads. Filing a chargeback falsely is not only unethical but could lead to legal action, including police reports for theft.

Here’s the bottom line: Read your contract, ask questions if you don’t understand, and be honest. Weddings are stressful, and it’s okay if you need clarification or help resolving an issue, but a chargeback isn’t the answer when the product or service was delivered as agreed.

Vendors work so hard to make your big day perfect. Please respect the time, energy, and love they pour into their work by honoring your agreements. ❤️ Let’s keep everything fair, honest, and full of good vibes!
