It took me 28 hours from my Dublin door to my Rio Air BnB door and yesterday I was bollixed in every way imaginable - I would recommend breaking up long haul flights with a couple of days stay in a city in the middle 😎

The DJ was very good, plenty of Afro House remixes - including this one from Alesso and One Republic -- he timed it nicely with the sunset

Keith Flint - one of the founding members of the most important rave act ever - left us this day 5 years ago

He was a complete one off who's dancing and vocals were part club culture, part punk ethos and 100% unique

Here's a bootleg remix I put together about 8 years ago, mashed up with a big tune of that year - Denny's "Low Frequencies"

It did decent on international Dance Radio with support including a few plays from Benny Benassi on his show (cheers Benny Benassi!)

Niall Redmond tagged me in a post just now that reminded me that on this night 10 years ago I was on nationwide radio for a 20 minute look back of the best in Commercial Dance

It's mental listening back to this and hearing mentions of Tripod club and the Wright Venue which are no longer with us. But on a more positive note: Lush events and Shine in Belfast are both in the Club guide on the show and both are still around in 2020

As ever on the show, I wanted to push Irish Dance music and The Control Freakz (their nice take of "San Trancisco") and DUB'D OUT ("Are You feeling This?") both get played here. As does a very special rendition of Cork's Fish Go Deep "The Cure And The Cause" complete with an orchestra backing. A decade on it's great to see all three of these Irish Dance duos still putting out strong tunes and remixes

Other artists featured in this Best Of 2010 include FEHRPLAY Rasmus Faber Candi Staton Mark Knight Underworld, Tensnake and more

Special thanks to the deep, wonderful voice of Colin Edwards of VoiceDrops who did some special festive Voiceovers for me for the show

And it goes without saying that this has been the worst year the Clubbing industry has ever seen. BUT! We WILL Rave Again -- can you *imagine* how great the club nights will be when all this is all over?
