An event timeline is your guide to how your event will flow, by the minute, on event day, from set up to break down. So how exactly does the event timeline work? How do you do it?

1️⃣ Go through everything that needs to happen on the day of the event and assign the time when it needs to happen and how long it will take. It will help to walk through the day as things are supposed to happen.

2️⃣ Arrange everything in chronological order so that it flows. (There are things you will remember along the way that you may have to put in the right place).

3️⃣ The main benefit is having a bird's eye view of how your day flows, should you need to make any ""sudden changes""

4️⃣ Once prepared: - Share it with everyone it concerns or has a role to play on the day (vendors, MC etc)

5️⃣ Appoint someone (if you do not have a coordinator) to manage it. If things are running off schedule or there needs to be a programme change, this person will have sight of everything and be able to guide the rest of the team accordingly.

🥳So, you've collected your marriage license, what's next?

🟣ON Wedding Day, the marriage certificate needs to be signed by:
💍 The couple
💍 Their witnesses: usually maid of honor and best man.

🟣1 copy is given to the couple and within 1 week after, the officiant will submit a copy of the certificate to the Registration House of The Ministry of Legal Affairs.

🟣THEN visit the website of the Registrar General's Department and make a payment of TTD $25.00 to obtain your marriage certificate.

📣If you're a resident of Trinidad & Tobago and you're getting married soon, or planning to, this one's for you.

✅Your Wedding Planner can take care of a lot of administrative tasks leading up to your big day, but you've got to do this one.

✅In order for your marriage to be legal, you need to sign a marriage certificate. This is often one of the highlights of the day, but how do you go about getting one?

‼First step - you need to apply for a marriage license, aka ""posting banns"" and we're breaking it down for you here:

1️⃣ Find your nearest District Wardens Office or Registrar General's Department building.

2️⃣ Both parties should be present and walk with forms of National ID.

3️⃣ If any party was previously married, walk with the Decree Absolute.

4️⃣ Complete the documentation by having the full names, current address and occupation for both persons.

5️⃣ Submit your documents with a payment of TTD $10.00.

6️⃣ Collect your marriage license, after 7 business days, with another payment of TTD $10.00.

It's not the decor or center pieces but how you design the event to be effective.

Using design to reinforce your conference or brand message can change attendees' behaviour by them just looking at it.

Using furniture and layouts that's not the usual c-shape academic, classroom type environment can do wonders for engagement.

A big part of design is choosing the right venue and effectively using that space.

Play with the furniture! Shuffle around the usual layouts and select venues that support this.

🟪If you're using free zoom webinars as part of your event, marketing or sales strategy, you could be limiting the number of leads you capture and falling short of other objectives, by using the popularly recommended FOMO tactic of announcing close to capacity, then closing registration.

🟪Fun fact: 50% of the people who sign up for free online events don't show up!

🟪When you cap registration and half the people show up, you may miss achieving your objectives.

🟪If your Zoom license has a cap and you don't want to make the investment for "more seats", you can add the stream to YouTube and filter the "overage" there.

🙏🏽It’s that time of year, to pause, reflect, and celebrate the journey that was 2024. As I sat here, the night before our last big event of the year, I was encouraged to reflect on all the incredible moments, challenges, and triumphs we’ve experienced. If I had to sum up 2024 in one word, it would be expansion—expanding our reach, our vision, and even the team. This year brought unforgettable milestones, like receiving a call from the Office of the President (grateful) and working with a major international client from India for the ICC World Cup. Through it all, what keeps me going is my team and their unwavering dedication. Thinking about where we started and how far we’ve come fills my heart with gratitude and pride. They’ve been the backbone of this year’s success, and I couldn’t have done it without them.
