M+C eloped yesterday - the 21st day of September - and what a beauty it was! Each part of their day was carefully thought out and planned based on what was important to the two of them: Private vows with a view of the Narrows and photos with their pups, an intimate ceremony with just 8 guests at the Rose Garden at Point Defiance, photos in the forest at Point Defiance Park, and a dinner to celebrate their union! So fun to be part of and I can’t WAIT to share more very soon. 🤍

While K+K’s guest list was on the larger side, it was evident in speaking with them that taking care of and celebrating with their loved ones was their highest priority on their wedding day. They took special consideration to provide moments of beauty and intimacy for everyone such as a “moment to meet to someone new” during their ceremony, a large group photo at the end of their ceremony, and a “fancy garden party” on the property’s central lawn with shared banquet tables and toasts under glowing lights. After dinner, they moved inside for dancing, a live band, and soft pretzels for anyone wanting a late-night snack! So honored to have been part of this day and happy to share the beauty of it with you all. Cheers, K+K!

C+J met like many couples - at work! During the pandemic, they lived on opposite sides of and it became their go-to meet up location. They’ve tried most of the food, have tons of stories of playing cribbage at various market restaurants and bars, and can tell you the best places for photos, since we did their engagement photos there! C+company got ready at followed by their first look on the rooftop and their ceremony+reception on the . Seattle weather showed off for us - there were sunny skies, happy tears, ice cream, so much laughter and all the love. Cheers to a beautiful start to your forever, C+J! ♥️

Hola, I’m Carley! I’m here on this lovely Monday to say “hello” and let you know I’m the gal behind carleyjayne photography. If you’ve been here awhile, you likely know this, but if you’re new, thank you for following me! (Slides 2 and 3 are of my little family - Daniel and I will have been 10 years in November and our daughter recently turned 4!) M+M came to play and so did the sunshine!☀️🌸 It was supposed to be overcast, but the PNW did not disappoint and we spent their engagement session chasing the sunlight and finding the blooms at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma. I cannot get enough of their genuine love and sweet smiles and am so looking forward to their wedding in 2025! ♥️

We lucked out with amazing weather for M+A’s elegant wedding at ! Rather than doing a first look, they opted for a ceremony reveal, which has a bit more drama at the ceremony space at Rock Creek Gardens because of the gorgeous long aisle! M’s smile got bigger and bigger as she took in the view of all their guests and approached her soon-to-be husband. It was all pure perfection! 😍

M+B, can you believe this was 3 years ago?! Pike Place never disappoints - 3 sessions scheduled here this year, each couple with their own unique ties and backstory that lead them to choose the market as the backdrop for their images! Super excited to see how they unfold. ♥️

SURPRISE: they eloped… And I can finally share! From capturing their getting ready together at a hotel on the Tacoma waterfront through their intimate and emotional vows at the Conservatory, being part of R+M’s day (and even being a witness on their Marriage Certificate!) along with was such a special and incredible experience. Forever honored to witness love like this! And, I absolutely adore the fact that they told their families by sharing the photos and video of their day… More of this, please! ♥️♥️♥️

Dream couple, dream location, dream light. All dreams coming true here, haha. S+C are the sweetest and I loved that when I asked if they were ok with PDA, they couldn't stop snuggling up to each other. I'm a believer that the closer you can get to your fiancé during your engagement session, the better your images will be... and I like to think these are proof. What do you think?

Also a random story from this session: There was a group of guys standing on the rocks and partying in the middle of this park where the light was the most magical... We shared some space with them and they offered congratulations and kept to themselves for awhile. But, right as we went to change to sitting, one not-sober-at-all guy sauntered up with a bunch of hydrangeas (where he got them, I have no idea) and sat them down next S+C and proceeded to art direct where the flowers should go and why. Stepped right in front of me. 😂 "You guys need these!" Ok, guy! I'm happy to report we were all able to giggle about it, but I'll always think of the great art director I met when I look at these photos, especially slide 6.

Those first look feels! ♥️ Taking you back to K+J’s sunny Seattle wedding at The Paccar Pavilion in the Olympic Sculpture Park. The most stunning florals, beautiful tablescapes (complete with personalized candles for each guest), the entire venue bathed in natural light, and a couple SO in love surrounded by their best people... Pretty much sums up all any couple - and photographer - could ever ask for!
