Newly married husband and wife team had a rustic barn wedding and designed and built everything themselves. In the process of doing this, alongside their passions for building and designing super-fun events and parties, they decided to share their creations and love for DIY.

➡️ Planning a wedding with no money is STRESSFUL AF! So don’t do it… SAVE UP, so you can enjoy the process!
🚨❤️ BTW! That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t get married in the meantime. Go to the courthouse and get married if you want!!! 💍 When you’re ready to celebrate with a wedding, LET US KNOW! 🎉
➡️ a smaller wedding party - to no wedding party at all (bridesmaids/groomsmen) will save you tons! — Tons of money and tons of potential stress too.
➡️ a simple menu — complicated or ornate menus are costly.
➡️ cutting down on the fancy drinks (opt for beer and wine only) — more expensive drinks are…well, more expensive!
➡️ Keeping wedding attire to a smaller budget — I have personally found GORGEOUS wedding attire in all budget ranges!
➡️ cutting down on the number of vendors hired or cutting the hours you want them on site. — The more people you hire, obviously, the more money you’re spending. If you still want all those vendors but it’s starting to hurt your wallet, consider hiring them for a shorter block of time.
➡️ having a smaller wedding (smaller guestlist)
i.e. Micro Wedding or an Elopement — as mentioned in one of the slides, less attendees equals less money spent.
➡️ repurposing flowers: using flowers in multiple places;
i.e. moving ceremony flowers to the reception area.
➡️ prioritizing the must-haves VS the “i want it but don’t need it” stuff

When you allow a creative to be creative, you’re saying, “I trust you.” That trust gives us confidence and allows us to create our best work with your design inspiration in mind. 2) It’s less stressful for you! Yes, that’s right! It’s one less thing YOU have to worry about. In wedding planning sometimes the clients tend to hold the weight on their shoulders…but if you trust the people you hired, you don’t need to do that. ✨While they create, how about you go play or relax near the fire, with a glass of wine?
