Qatar Airways Steps it up With a New Elevated Qsuite

For years, Qatar Airways' Qsuite has reigned supreme as one of the most luxurious business-class experiences globally. Introduced in 2017, these pod-style seats offer unparalleled privacy with sliding doors, center-aisle suites that convert into lie-flat double beds, and an exquisite on-demand dining menu featuring both Western and Arabic cuisine. Now, the airline is set to elevate this luxury with the upcoming launch of the Qsuite Next Gen.

Scheduled for delivery by the end of 2025, the Qsuite Next Gen will debut on Boeing 777-9 aircraft and promises an even more opulent experience. Highlights include a new companion suite design, digitally lockable storage akin to a hotel safe, wireless charging, and many other enhancements.

The focus of the upgrade is the Quad Suite, allowing families or groups of up to four to combine their seats by retracting the privacy panels. High-definition 4K OLED Panasonic screens will be adjustable to create an open space, and seats in the middle row can be transformed into a lie-flat double bed.

A great feature is an on-demand turndown service for all business-class passengers. Another standout is the new companion suite, enabling guests seated along the windows to remove their partitions and enjoy face-to-face interactions during meals or conversations.

Storage solutions are also upgraded with more dedicated storage compartments.

This Over-the-Top Wellness Resort has Opened in Baja California

Located just 90 minutes south of the U.S. border in Baja California's premier wine country, Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe has opened. This marks the brand’s first property in the Americas and promises a luxurious blend of wellness and indulgence.

Disney World Offers a New Elevated Experience

Disney World is elevating its guest experience with a luxurious update to its Genie Plus service, now rebranded as Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This enhancement allows guests staying at Disney hotels to pre-select their preferred attractions up to seven days in advance.

Previously, Disney required same-day purchases for Genie Plus. Now, with the introduction of Lightning Lane Multi Pass, guests can secure up to three selections per park prior to their visit. High-demand attractions can also be reserved with the newly renamed Lightning Lane Single Pass.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass provides access to expedited queues, significantly reducing wait times. Prices vary by day and park, and the service can be used across multiple parks. The new system, launching on July 24, will let guests preview available experiences and times before purchase, ensuring a seamless planning process.

Park Hopper ticket holders can make advance selections for one park, with additional choices available at any park, depending on availability. Disney’s app will be updated for a more streamlined purchasing experience, allowing guests to buy both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass in a single transaction.

Secret Gems in Abu Dhabi Today's visit was an excursion to the Falcon Hospital. The Falcon is the national animal/symbol of the UAE. This was a fascinating tour of falcons and other birds including owls and I highly recommend it if you enjoy animals and are curious about this predator's nature. More than 11,000 privately owned falcons are brought to this hospital on an annual basis. These falcons face "repairs" - broken wings, feet infections, lost feathers, and lung issues. Cinque Terre, Italy 🇮🇹 Located in the northern region of Liguria, Cinque Terre is made of 5 towns: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore ✈️ How long should you stay? Three days is the best, as you can explore everything without rushing between towns. I went for two days, and even though I managed to see a lot, I feel I’d have enjoyed it better if I had one extra day. If you only have one day, go to Manarola, Vernazza, and Riomaggiore. And if you’re coming in the summer and want to go to the beach, skip one of the 3 and go to Monterosso instead, it has the best beaches. 🏡 Where to stay? Staying in one of the towns can be a bit more expensive, but it’s a lovely experience. If you want to save some euros, stay in La Spezia. It’s perfectly connected by train. 🎟️ For getting around, buy the Cinque Terre pass, it offers unlimited train travel for 24, 48, or 72 hours. I chose the 48-hour pass, which also included access to hiking trails, costing €33. The ferry is another option and perfect to enjoy a different perspective of the towns. ❤️ Some of my favorite spots: - In Monterosso, don’t miss the Statue of the Giant. - In Vernazza, explore 3 incredible viewpoints. The first one is exactly here: 44°08’13.2”N 9°40’51.6”E. It’s inside the trail between Vernazza and Monterosso, but if you have the Cinque Terre pass, you don’t have to pay the ticket for the trail. The second one is near ‘Ristorante la Torre.’ Both require a bit of hiking but offer stunning views. The third is from the Doria Tower. - In Corniglia, visit the bar ‘Marina di Corniglia’ for incredible views and excellent Aperol Spritz. - In Manarola, try the insta-famous Nessun Dorma, worth the hype despite long waiting times. The view close to the restaurant is incredible. - In Riomaggiore, enjoy the view from the port and explore the higher part.
