Secret Gems in Abu Dhabi Today's visit was an excursion to the Falcon Hospital. The Falcon is the national animal/symbol of the UAE. This was a fascinating tour of falcons and other birds including owls and I highly recommend it if you enjoy animals and are curious about this predator's nature. More than 11,000 privately owned falcons are brought to this hospital on an annual basis. These falcons face "repairs" - broken wings, feet infections, lost feathers, and lung issues.
