Introducing Poetic Pairs, a poem prompt game for wordsmiths!

Each card has a line of poetry. Shuffle well and pick two random cards. One becomes your first line, the other becomes your last line, and it’s up to you to fill in the rest.

This is a perfect writing warm-up and a great game to play with world-loving friends.

And yes—you can publish what you write with these cards!

This concept has existed for a long time and is not my own, but this deck contains 104 individual, unique poem lines I created just for you!

I’ve got some fun stuff in the works including but not limited to another book, a card game, a Tarot deck, an EP… All slow going on each but the words are coming out and that’s all that matters. I am heartbroken like all of you are. This was completely unexpected and feels like the worst case scenario. But the birds are still singing, and the world did not end, even though it feels like it did.

We’re all still here, fighting and learning and loving and living, and as long as you keep doing that, we’ll be okay.

We’ve been here before and we triumphed. The birds will still sing.

As a q***r woman, my rights and safety are on the ballot. Vote HARRIS WALZ. If you’re in Florida, vote YES ON 4.

Actions speak louder than words. If you claim to support q***r people like me, or BIPOC, immigrants, people with uteruses… then you will vote blue in this election. To do otherwise is an act of violence.

We’re looking to have a food truck outside (any recommendations?) and Halloween candy inside, and maybe even a costume contest if the spirit moves us! 👻

I’m excited to announce my newest project—EGAD’s Smallest Bookshop! Located within Thrive Local in the Eau Gallie Arts District, this mini used bookstore will supply you with all the top notch used book goodness we’re currently missing from the district!

If you have books collecting dust on your shelf, consider donating them to this project! You can bring book donations to Thrive Local during business hours beginning this Friday. I’m working on a store credit system in return for donations, too.

We’re hoping for lots of fiction from the last 15 years, but any books you’re willing to donate are wonderful!

Next Sunday!! Peacefest is gonna be FANTASTIC! Vendors, music, poets, food, raffles!

📍: Eau Gallie Civic Center
⏰: 10/6, 12-6pm

This event supports the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (pcrf.net) providing direct relief and assistance for Palestinian families during this *ONGOING* genocide. It’s not over, and won’t be unless we continue pushing for a permanent ceasefire. Free Palestine 🍉

The 50/50 raffle, donations, raffle basket ticket sales, and any surplus funds from this event will go to the PCRF.

Announcing Space Coast Pride’s next book… Letters to Ourselves, an anthology of letters from YOU to your younger self!

To submit a letter, stop by the letter-writing station at Pridefest on 9/28 to write one in-person, or submit a .docx to tinyurl.com/scp-letters.

The project is open to any LGBTQIA+ individual who would like to participate! Submissions will close 11/16/24.

The book is set to release in the spring of 2025. We’ll keep you updated on its progress!
