Happy Tuesday Chester!
Treating the family with Boquerones en Vinagre this evening, which means Anchovies in Vinegar. This tapa is one of my favourites and had its origins in Southern Spain.
Different historians agree that the origin of the anchovies in vinegar dates back to the 8th century, which means that they have existed for more than 3000 years!

It's a bit gloomy out there today but so many exciting things happening in the Tumaca house!
Tapas Feast boxes selection changing for next Month this Sunday 💥
The Tumaca catering will commence again from 17th of May providing super tasty tapas buffets to you lucky people having up to 30 people outside enjoying birthdays or any other celebrations.
Our tapas grazing platters available to order in a few weeks. These platters are truly unique!

People ask what does your name mean?
Tumaca comes from Pan Tumaca or Pan con Tomate in Spanish ( Bread with tomate) and is pronounced[ˈpam tuˈmakət]).
The name was choosen as it brings fond memories of breakfast with my family in Spain.
It is a traditional food of Catalan, Valencian, Aragonese, Balearic and Murcian cuisine.
ps with Iberico Ham is even better!

It's Friday 🙌🙌 and what a gorgeous week we have had☀️!
Today I treated the family with a classy summery tapa "Mejillones Vinagreta"🦪 one of my favourites to eat in the garden and so good for a large gathering when we are allowed..
These steamed mussels are dressed with a flavourful and colourful vinaigrette. Best paired with a cold Albariño!

How did we get to tuesday already?
Delicious "Piquillo Rellenos" for our
Stuffed Piquillo Peppers with a creamy filling of Cod and Prawns.
This mounth watering tapa is joining our selection in the next few weeks.
Piquillo pepper is a variety of chili, Capsicum annuum, having a sweet taste with no heat. Traditionally grown in Northern Spain near the town of Lodosa. Its name is derived from the Spanish for " Little beak".
