To allow children of all ages (& those children at heart) the opportunity to experience a hands on interaction with a range of farm & domestic animals.
We have set up a mini mobile farm which can be taken around the local area to allow children to experience a range of animals up close and personal. We intend to at a later stage turn our lifestyle block into a full petting zoo/farm. We advise anyone who invites us to their place or who visits us on site to be aware that although our animals are friendly, all animals are capable of having bad mann
ers at times. Therefore we advise you that we have certain rules to be followed around our animals, and take no responsibility or liability for any possible injuries or damage that may occur. We specialise in attending children's functions such as Birthday parties, Christmas Parties, and family reunions , childcare centres etc.

We were on our way to do 2x pony bookings today.
I just want to say the BIGGEST THANK YOU, to everyone involved in helping us today. When a car came over the bridge in moerewa in the early hours of this morning on our side of the road, hitting our horse truck at such an angle and force, it ended up flipping us onto our side. I am lead to understand occupants of car involved fled sceen on foot.
Thank you to the lovely young man first on scene, for your help, calmness and sticking around. I know you told me your name, but I cant remember it. You are a real gem of a person. Thank you to our friend Jody for collecting the ponies once the firecrew got them out of the truck ( yes they all survived and are fine) and looking after them for me so I dont stress about them.
The fire crew, warm caring and efficient. The ambulance crew, an amazing team. Dealing with all 3 of us.
The staff at whangarei hospital and the police.
And my oldest son Luke, for meeting us at whangarei hospital.
Bruce is being kept in hospital, hes been moved to a ward and I should be discharged later today. Andrew has few small cuts, scrapes, bruises.
I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.
Please northland drivers, please drive on your side of the road....
BECAUSE OF THIS WE WILL NO LONGER BE DOING ANY TRAVEL BOOKINGS WITH THE PONIES . We will be in contact with our future bookings over the next week.

Our Story
We set up a mini mobile farm back in about 2013, which can be taken around the Northland district to allow children to experience a range of animals up close and personal. Our farm has grown since we first started, and we are always on the look out for new babies to hand rear. We are now breeding some off our own animals too. We tend to be bottle feeding something all year round.
We advise anyone who invites us to their place or who visits us on site to be aware that although our animals are friendly, all animals are capable of having bad manners at times. Therefore we advise you that we have certain rules to be followed around our animals, and take no responsibility or liability for any possible injuries or damage that may occur.
We specialise in attending children's functions such as Birthday parties, Christmas Parties, and family reunions , childcare centres, school galas and public events etc.
We offer the option of farm visits, pony only visits or a mixture of both. our ponies are friendly and safe and spend a lot of time working in crowds. We can give you the experience of a pony and cart ride, or ride on ponies.
As we didn’t want a farmyard of animals that have tummy love syndrome, eg. see children and assoicate wiht food, getting pushy and aggressive and nippy, we have a policy of “No feeding the animals by children” when we are out and about, our animlas do it because they enjoy the attention, the love, cuddles and brushing that comes with an outting. They are relaxed and contented where ever we go.
We come to you at your venue/event. Bringing wiht us gazebos for shade, and we always carry water for the animals. the bowls get topped up throughout an event, even tho children and even the aniamls like to tip the water out. Saddly there will always be that 1 person who complains when a bowl is empty!!! Even if they just watched the animal tip it out!!!
We buy in the bobby calves to use in the farm, and often take in strays and rescue aniamals along the way. And we regualarly get rung up and offered animals, or asked to take on negecte cases or resuce cases as some would call it. We happily do this if we have the time and space at the time to do so, or sometimes we know of another home etc etc.... This is all done quietly behind the scenes. We do NOT addvertise ourselves as a resuce centre, and we do not expect handouts.....Our babies earn their keep happily.
It takes a lot of time, paitence and hard work to make the animals as friendly as they are and they actually sulk when they don’t get to go out. We run our pens as a no feeding pen when out, this way our animals do not get what we call (tummy love syndrome) where they see children and get too pushy and agressive as children are associated wiht food not love. This also allows us to know excatly what our babies have eaten and how much. As yes animals can also get over fed and gain too much weight. We often hear people, say “ohh we could do this we have aniamls at home in the paddock.... OH I wish it was as easy as that!!!!!lol
We are also not a babysitting service, we facilate the activy buut expect parents/ teachers etc to join in the fun and help supervise their children.. We do not tolerate any mis behaviours around the animals, everyone needs to follow the rules to keep our animals safe and happy, and for everyones enjoyment.
We just love helping the children to build relationships wiht our pets, and gain conifence around them, learning how to treat the animals well. etc.....
