What an unbelievable night! I’m still buzzing from having such a great time on both sides of the decks this Saturday 🫠

THANK YOU to Esotarot and Down Deep Productions for thoughtfully putting this all together, to The Fruit - Durham Fruit & Produce Co for holding such a great space, to Soundsystem Cultures LLC for spoiling us with such huge and clear sound, to The Liquid Vision Light Show for the immersive visual experience, to SNARZ Snakko and Ternion Sound for their incredible sets, to CHURCH GRIM for the Calicoboy surprise B2B, to Carley for all the photos, to the vendors for contributing their art, and to all our friends and family and everyone that came through…

It felt like everyone in that building was working together to ensure a good time for all. That’s community. That’s why we do this.

I’m stoked to show you all the set I’ve been working on for this Saturday - so much on one tiny little flash drive.

And I’m excited to hear it all on that Function One system - I realized as a kid that I had a different taste for music than a lot of people: I couldn’t remember many lyrics, and pretty melodies are great… but production really got me: the quality of the sound, the richness in texture… weird sounds I hadn’t heard before… that’s what tickled me. And that’s what brought me to drum&bass and all the weird s**t that’s spawned from it

I’m excited about connecting with you all over a shared experience like this, and I hope to see you there! Links in comments.

PUSH this past weekend was amazing! This was all due to the organizers, staff, volunteers, and participants working together to hold this space… intentionally creating a container where people can be themselves, have fun, create, and explore.

All the performances, the decorations, the vendors, the toys, so many people… but I never felt overwhelmed, it was great! And the music was perfect: all the DJs crushed it, setting playful vibes where you could dance or have a conversation, and still listen for safewords 😈 I had a GREAT fu**in time DJing, and even got to do a quick scene on stage! 🍑👋🏽

Lovey-dovey special thanks to my partner Aviva for supporting me in every way - I love you, and I love our adventures. You’re helping me grow in the ethical non-monogamy/polyamory dimension, something that’s easy to support intellectually, but can be tough to “walk the walk” in. I appreciate you so much ❤️

I can’t wait till the next PUSH! Please hit me up if you have any questions about the event - I can safely say that I will never voluntarily miss a PUSH event, they’re *that* uniquely good.
