As a wedding planner who has heard her share of bad speeches… the tips below are worth their weight in gold! 🤣🤍

I mean every word with love, but I just have to share to (hopefully) help keep our beloved friends and family from making the same mistakes!

DO…
- know your audience
- state your name & how you know the couple
- have someone proofread it beforehand
- practice out loud & time yourself
- have a copy of your speech (yes, even if you have it memorized)
- keep it under 5 minutes
- say kind things about the couple & their relationship!

DONT…
- speak too softly
- include too many jokes or cliches
- say embarrassing things about the couple that they wouldn’t be okay with sharing
- drink too much beforehand
- put too much pressure on yourself!
