While our team is taking this week to rest and relax, we thought we'd share a look back at the retreat we went on earlier this month.
We spent 2 fabulous days in Kananaskis enjoying the fresh mountain air, bonding with our team, relaxing in the spa, and revelling in the good times.

This past March, over one thousand delegates from across Turtle Island and beyond gathered in Treaty 1 for the annual International Indigenous Tourism Conference. The programming included two important panel discussions on Truth and Reconciliation and the role that tourism can play in the reclamation of our cultures, traditions and languages.
We are proud to produce this conference each year, as well as the Indigenous Tourism Alberta Summit. We are grateful to our clients, Indigenous Tourism Alberta and Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada for trusting us with their vision and allowing us to be part of these transformative moments.
We will use National Day of Truth and Reconciliation to reflect upon the history of our country and do our part to educate ourselves [and those around us] about the rights of Indigenous peoples.

Last month, Reid explored Basque Country, Spain. The region is known for its delicious Basque cuisine with a range of traditional dishes such as pintxos and bacalao al pil-pil.
While he was there he was hosted at incredible hotels, spent time touring local sites and attractions, and of course dived right into delicious traditional foods [he even participated in a cooking class!]

The team is at it again!
Earlier this month we had all hands on deck as our team took over North America!
Reid and Sarah departed on a cross-provincial road trip to 14 different sites in Alberta.
Dwayne, Jamie, Andrea, and Janice visited sunny Kansas City to celebrate the last spike in the CP Railway.
Charmaine, Stephanie, Jocelyn, Keri, and Janel spent a week in Toronto producing 7 shows for the Canadian Screen Awards.
The rest of the team held down the fort both in our offices and working remotely from home! Stay tuned for more in-depth posts about each one of these incredible events.
Last week our team took over Western Canada as we produced 4 incredible events across 3 provinces!
We kicked things off in Vancouver with a corporate AGM [mums the word on the details] and in Winnipeg with the International Indigenous Tourism Conference, hosted on Treaty 1 Territory and the homeland of the Metis. This conference included tours of local Indigenous areas and businesses, a "Taste of Turtle Island", and renowned awards ceremonies.
Then we headed over to Alberta for the JUNO Opening Night Awards. We presented 41 awards in just less than 3 hours - an all time record! High profile guests walked the red carpet, enjoyed a signature drink at the welcome reception, and then settled in for the awards show to celebrate Canadian talent and honour dedicated members of the Canadian music industry.
We finished the week off in Manitoba with the University of Manitoba's convocation ceremony! 950 grads walked the stage with 3600 friends and family in attendance at 2 different ceremonies. The post reception featured 4 photo ops, including a hologram photo experience where confetti flutters in the printed image!

We are so excited to welcome our newest Experience Coordinator, Andrea to the team! Andrea joined “e” in September and has made a fantastic addition.
Her first on-site event was Energy Disruptors Unite where she was able to learn, observe, and feel the “e” way brought to life. Andrea fits right in with the fast-paced, high-energy, and creative atmosphere that comes along with events and we couldn’t be more proud to call her one of her own!
We asked Andrea her favourite thing about working with “e” so far and this was what she had to say:
“I like the people at "e"- I love working with all of you! I also like how every event is different and things never get dull, there's always something new to learn and new people to meet.”
