Happy 15th birthday to our amazing boy, Ari! 🎉

Rescued at about 1 year old from a shelter in Waco in 2011, you’ve been the textbook definition of the perfect dog ever since. 🐾

We’ve had our challenges together—those strong herding instincts led to a bit of nipping at the beginning, and you were terrified of cars and stairs (living on the 3rd floor was an adventure!). You battled heartworm and demodex mange, but you powered through it all with your loving heart.

Once we got you back to full health, you became our loyal military pup, traveling with us all over the country—Waco TX, Annapolis MD, Enterprise AL, Honolulu HI, Heron OH, and El Paso TX 🌎.

2024 gave us some real scares, and we got a taste of what life might be like without you. So today, we celebrate your 15-ish birthday, and we are beyond grateful for every moment we have with you. We love you more than words can say, Ari! 🐶❤️

In case you missed it, we won the neighborhood Christmas light competition this year! 🎄

Last year we placed second, so this win feels extra sweet. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday, filled with cherished childhood memories, and I love everything about the season.

I used to daydream about how I’d decorate my own home one day, and I’m lucky to have married someone who embraces my holiday spirit, never questions when I want to add more lights, and lets me live out my Clark Griswold dreams! 💡✨

My brother/sister-in law and nephews visited from California a couple of weeks ago.

To put things into perspective, I haven’t seen their eldest son (17), since he was 6 months old…and I’ve never met their youngest son (15).

Side note: they are SO tall…I’m short, but holy cow😯

While their visit was much too short, it was amazing!

I asked them if they’d like to snag some family photos. Despite our lack of wardrobe styling, (my heart would have loved to do a styled session), I am still so happy we got these keepsakes♥️

So here’s you sign to toss perfection aside (including cooperative babies😅) and just take the darn pictures 🙌🏼

My brother/sister-in law and nephews visited from California a couple of weeks ago.

To put things into perspective, I haven’t seen their eldest son (17), since he was 6 months old…and I’ve never met their youngest son (15).

Same porch, different family 🤣

📸 Impromptu photo session with our long lost military family who we’ve known for 12 years!

It’s been 3 years since our last face-to-face and they were kind enough to make a pit stop during their 🚙 trip adventure to visit us and meet the twins.

It was much too short, but we are so grateful for the time we had with them and looking forward to visiting them in Tennessee♥️
