Yesterday we had the pleasure of lunch with Perrine Chapelain and Marco Cinquegrana from the wonderful @belmond group, and a tour of the beautiful boutique @belmondcadogan, Chelsea.
The second UK opening after Oxfordshire’s @belmondlemanoir, the Belmond’s Cadogan Hotel reopened its doors in 2019 after a four-year renovation. The hotel stands on the corner of Sloane and Pont Streets overlooking Cadogan Place Gardens and is steeped in a fashionable history as American actor and royal mistress Lillie Langtry lived next door (her Chelsea townhouse now makes up part of the hotel), and Oscar Wilde was arrested in room 118.
The hotel oozes luxury, with beautiful interiors, an amazing array of British art, and quirky features throughout including a lift lobby lined with 600 books cast in bronze and a specially commissioned peacock made from 25,000 Swarovski crystals.
With 54 bedrooms and an array of event spaces to choose from, the hotel is the perfect location for a C-Level get-together, a private #meeting or dining for 50 pax, or a group #incentive event requiring some real wow-factor! And it seems #bespoke event options are endless with hotel links to Champagne tastings, river cruises, top Chelsea florists and fashion brands, or a dash of adventure onboard the Belmond’s-own British Pullman train.
We also had the pleasure of learning more about the group’s Southern European portfolio from Marco, including @cipriani, Venice, @belmondhotelsplendido, Portofino, @belmondcastellodicasole, Siena, and @belmondhotelcaruso on the Amalfi Coast; all available for full buyouts and all the ideal size for a bespoke group incentive event or #corporate retreat.
