Our stone barn, built on the property in 1812, and the picturesque landscape surrounding the barn have become wonderfully popular locations for a variety of celebrations; most notably, weddings and receptions. LOCATED just outside of Shepherdstown, WV in a gorgeous setting surrounded by lush apple orchards, a small vineyard, and panoramic views of natural beauty, our historic farm defines rustic elegance. With its stately farmhouse, stone outbuildings, and Swisser-style bank barn dominating the landscape, it provides the perfect backdrop for any special occasion. EXPERIENCE the history and ambiance of our farm that pre-dates the Revolutionary War while enjoying our blossoming beauty and relaxed atmosphere. There are also plenty of things for your visiting guests to enjoy in the local area; fine arts, fascinating history, fantastic dining, first-class accommodations, friendly merchants, festive events, fresh air, and many other fabulous delights! CONVENIENTLY located less than 90 minutes from both the Washington, DC and Baltimore metropolitan areas, we are also very convenient and easily accessible to three international airports: Dulles, BWI, and Reagan National. ❤️ Meet Diamond! Beautiful brides, handsome grooms, happy families, adorable children, homeless dogs... WAIT! WHAT? Homeless dogs?!

You thought just happy people were photographed at York Hill? This time, we had a happy dog photographed here. Only she could be MUCH happier because, you see, Diamond needs a forever home. She has been living at the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County for 5 years!!!

❤️ I am reposting a status that a beautiful friend of mine just wrote because not only is she beautiful, she is inspiring - she dances, she teaches, she serves our God, and she has a heart full of love for everyone...

"Just to put it out there... Staring at me because I look different to you doesn't interfere with my life. Most days it doesn't even phase me. But let me suggest this to you, take a minute to get to know the person instead of staring. Different does not mean they are weird or broken. I was not supposed to survive after I was born and my parents were told I probably would never walk or talk if I did survive. I have a masters degree people. Quit staring at me. I will look right at you and say hello and you will be the one uncomfortable not me!

Ps those of you reading this know me and probably don't even notice that I look different because you do KNOW me for me. I love ya'll. Thanks for letting me rant."

So I met Alex a couple years ago when her mom suggested her as a model for me, and she has modeled for me numerous times and it's always a blast. She recently got engaged to a great guy who gave her THE most stunning ring and this morning I got to photograph them just after the sun came up on her family's orchard and gorgeous wedding venue The Barn at York Hill. Congratulations beautiful, sweet, smart, kind and always fun Alex
