Lucky you... whether you got them from your local florist or a supermarket , receiving flowers is a real treat.
🌹 Scrub clean a vase to make sure any bacteria lurking from any previous flowers has gone a tiny bit of bleach when cleaning is good to kill the bacteria then give a good rinse and fill 2/3rds with tap water
🌹 Take off any packaging. You can leave them tied as a bunch if you like. Make sure to trim the bottom of the stems at a slant this helps the stem absorb more water so it reaches up that long stem to the flower head. take off any leaves that are under the water
🌹 Place your flowers away from heat or direct sun and away from bananas as they give off a gas that makes flowers go off quicker. Draughty places are not good either
🌹 Change the water regularly, every two days is good. Recut the stems again every time helps too. Your roses should last 7 days at least
🌹 Finally don't forget to thank whoever got them for you !

It Valentines day this Friday so if you are planning on sending some flowers for Valentines Day then here are a few tips
❤️ Order direct from a local florist not an order gatherer
Some websites just take the order and then pass onto a more local florist so cut out the middle man and save a few pounds. Always look up independent florists near your recipients area and if you've not used them before check out their online reviews to make sure what they do is good.
❤️ Order Now
Don't hang about, your favourite local florist might already be booked up and might not have stock if you leave it too late. Florists have to order their flowers from the wholesalers in advance to get the best quality flowers and prices. plus they will be super busy making all the bouquets and sorting out delivery routes
❤️ Have a message ready
It's such a shame when the sender says oh they'll know who it's from. We have a small cards about the size of a credit card to write a few words on, it doesn't need to be an essay but just a little sentence or something sweet or funny
❤️ Up your budget if you can
Remember that flower prices will be slighter higher than normal
due to the high demand so make sure you go a little more than you might usually spend to make sure your bouquet looks nice and full
❤️ Check the address
Make sure you've got it correct especially the postcode and give the recipients phone number just incase the driver can't find them, they will have loads on board to deliver and you will get your flowers delivered quicker
❤️ Don't leave in your car overnight
February can still be frosty and temperatures can drop a lot at night so if you get your flowers the day before then make sure you check the weather report before you leave flowers in the car or garage or outside
Hope these tips help, have a happy Valentines Day and if you'd like to order a bouquet with us you can do so online at www.flowersbyjuliette.com or call on 01403 753066

The many faces of wreath making the worst was when i grabbed a bunch of pine with a wasp in it. Yes I did get stung and believe me i pulled many faces that day. Anyway it's the last day to order a wreath tomorrow, next week we are all about the festive candle arrangements and christmassy bouquets . Also please do get your orders in as soon as possible for Christmas week delivery or collection so we can plan ahead. Those that have already ordered on the website thank you, you are the best #handtiedbouquets #candlearrgs
There are lots of wreath workshops out there and wreath kits and so much choice. So it pleases me no end when another order for my wreath workshop or wreath kit pops up on my phone . My workshops are different from a lot of other workshops as we always have plenty of choice of foliage and decorations to choose from so you can make your wreath totally individual to how you want it to look. If you want to join in the fun you can book a space on my website www.flowersbyjuliette.com
